He did a great job at JGP Croatia. Men's events are always very unpredictable but any guy who can do two quads in FS can win any event, so, even though he might not be the favourite to win JGP Final he is fully capable to win it.

Wow, there was no Fan Fest for him before?

He sure did an amazing job in the FS, skating almost clean after a number of guys didn’t do well, and being last didn’t seem to affect him too much. Congrats on his second title and for qualifying for the GPF!

Yes, yes, yes! Finally the fan board where I can keep my fingers crossed for Andrey Mosalev. Interesting skater, good music choices, seems to have great competition focus. Good luck in Torino, hoping to see him high on the charts there and maybe even see JW assignment.

Gosh, I feel so, so alone in my unwavering support for Mozalev, but here goes it:

Great job, and congratulations for silver in the YOG. It could not have been easy right after RusNats! :hap10:

I finally translated the Ballad Mozalev skates to, to my satisfaction. The Ballad is, of course, about leaving St.Petersburg, but it is also written by the poet whose given name is Andrei :) I hope connections end there, because on the whole the story is way too tragic. A link is to a tweet, because I put it on a pretty St. Petersburg background for an additional dose of Russian sentimentality.

Mozalev commenting on his silver medal (from an article on Samsonov, posted here: https://m.sovsport.ru/figure/articles/2:930636 )

“I have mixed feelings: joy of a decent performance and winning a medal; sadness because I became the second when I wanted to be the first,” Mozalev said. “The key problem was the fall. I lost more than two points on this mistake, exactly what I was short of. I am yet to understand why I fell. It felt as if I had pushed out, opened up, but suddenly — I was down. Quite disappointing. But, the end result turned out fair.”

How even-minded is this... he really starts to remind me Voronov with this attitude.

Great skate in the team event & good luck in the junior Nationals to Mozalev — doubt it will be on the YouTube, but fingers crossed for recovery & awesome performance. :hap10:

:ghug: or maybe I am just hugging myself here. Anyways, very sad about Mozalev’s mistakes in the short, but wishing him a solid free skate and hoping all will be well. He had such a steady season so far & that softness in his skating gets me.

Great free skate today, should be feeling good after yesterday's disappointing sp. I just can't get over his FS music edit though. The songs have no relationship to each other and the editing is done so sloppily that it really takes away from the entire performance for me. Not his fault - his coaches/choreographer should give him decent programs, not a nonsensible mash up of 3 completely different songs that don't connect in any way.
