Name Origins... And Vikings!

Oh, this is probably my favourite thread on here! I don't suppose anyone has any articles about the genetics of Northern Italians, more specifically Veneto? That's a big part of my ancestry and I can't afford DNA testing to go further than the 19th century.

this is the medieval historian speaking

about Italy almost everyone, expecially in the south, left some genes here and there starting with the greeks in the south, followd by Carthagenians (west sicily), Romans, Byzantine Greeks, Arabs, Then Normans (almost 2 centuries it's hardly a short time), French, Spanish (from Aragon), Spanish again; the north, Rome and Central Italy had a little more independency untill the XVI century the latter, then imperial Spanish, French and Austrian and then came WWII so Germans and Americans (in the whole country) so pick a gene, we might have it
