Oh, this is probably my favourite thread on here! I don't suppose anyone has any articles about the genetics of Northern Italians, more specifically Veneto? That's a big part of my ancestry and I can't afford DNA testing to go further than the 19th century.

Actually, if you think about it, Vladimir Morozov has a pretty "russian" name (at least "Hollywood russian" :biggrin:)

about Italy almost everyone, expecially in the south, left some genes here and there :laugh: starting with the greeks in the south, followd by Carthagenians (west sicily), Romans, Byzantine Greeks, Arabs, Then Normans (almost 2 centuries it's hardly a short time), French, Spanish (from Aragon), Spanish again; the north, Rome and Central Italy had a little more independency untill the XVI century the latter, then imperial Spanish, French and Austrian and then came WWII so Germans and Americans (in the whole country) :laugh: so pick a gene, we might have it
