Hello, I’m 20 years old. I skated from age 6 until 13, and I’m wanting to get back into skating. I know my chance at serious competitive skating has sadly come and gone, but I was wondering if it was too late for me to become a skater in ice shows?

There are a lot of talented skaters out there want to do that. I've been on a few cruises lately that have ice rinks, and to even do that you'd need to be a strong pairs skater, or have solid jumps through the 2A for women, or have triples if you're a man. So if you're able to get to that level it could happen.

The odds are more stacked against you than not.

Please look at these threads that have previously been on this topic. I myself (former elite now Pro) have given my insight and advice as have other posters.

It's really going to depend on your skill level and what you can do now. You are going to need to have up to at least triples as a lady, among other things.

You can always do adult worlds too.. Im working towards that.. I just came back to skating with a coach this year after 15 years not skating.. I have all of my doubles back now except the lutz. The nice thing about the adult skating levels is there is a giant range and will fit pretty much any skill level from beginner to former champions that just skate for fun now but still have some tricks.
