Anyone notice all the green costumes of the main Golden Skate page. Before someone points out Han Cong in blue, let me point out that Wenjing Sui is wearing forest green.

Those subscribing to Toller Cranston's superstition that green falls down might be worried...

Here is Toller's theory given during this Gordeeva Grinkov 1990 EC SP

Kevin was so nice in that Robin Hood programme, it fitted him very well (including the green).

Riverdance without green is like Carmen without red: not happening,;)

Toller may have made an exception.:)

I liked Rika Hongo's and Kazuki Tomono's dark green Riverdance costumes.
And if my memory serves me right, then Aliona Savchenko wore a green costume in the 'Pina' season?
And I think I recall Liza Tuktamysheva skating to Middle Eastern music in a loose lime green dress years ago? But I'm far from sure.

Charlène Guignard had a lovely green dress for her and Marco's La La Land free dance last season: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J4BRz8qeg8Y

Riverdance without green is like Carmen without red: not happening,;)

Charlène and Marco clearly agree, as they both had green accents on their costumes for Riverdance! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Wg7G6yaN18

ETA: Adelina Galyavieva and Louis Thauron also disagree on Carmen needing to be red... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BwX_DQN38EM

Carolane Soucisse had a green dress for Soucisse/Firus's I Won't Dance FD.

There's also some green highlights in Yelim Kim's Black Swan dress this year, I believe.

:laugh2: here I thought this was going to be about Klára Engi and Atilla Tóth' s gala number to The Muppet movie soundtrack back in the 1990's Klára had a Miss Piggy head on and Attila was dressed as Kermit.

Alas the copyright funkillers killed that program on YouTube long ago, here are Engi &Tóth in green, dancing to ragtime

But then again, what color is that dress. Is it the darkest of all possible burgundies?

My eyes perceived it (at the time) -- and still perceive it -- as black.

And I am not alone:

Virtue, Moir's 'Carmen' program a hit in gold-medal performance at Skate Canada

... Virtue, wearing a black dress with plunging neckline, and Moir took their free dance in another direction this season ...

Thx, GWTW.

So happens that the link is blocked for me in the U.S.
Here is another link for Galyavieva/Thauron:

Green isn't an easy colour to wear and doesn't always look pretty against the ice. Here is my favourite green dress (Dabin Choi, La La Land SP, 2017 version): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-DsxOkojAe0
She also used a greenish dress at the Olympics for her SP: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6dvS6VQQBOA
Another one I really like is Yelim Kim's Black Swan SP dress this year, that has already been mentioned. I didn't really liked Rika Hongo's Riverdance dress but the way the gown was designed to accompany her moves was genius!
Of course, the most iconic green dress still belongs to Peggy Fleming (and her mum), who chose the colour to honour a locally produced liqueur (apparently, the dress is going to be featured in the new skating museum in Colorado).

The new museum is the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum.

The museum is not specific to skating ... meaning that visitors who are not skating fans will have a chance to see the dress and to learn something about Peggy and the sport. :)

And of course, skating fans will happily remember Peggy and recognize her dress.
