Since we're doing dream podiums...well, I'll work with who was going to be there...

Ladies:

Gold: Mae-Berenice Meite
Silver: Ekaterina Ryabova
Bronze: Nicole Schott

Men:

Gold: Kevin Aymoz
Silver: Jason Brown
Bronze: Brendan Kerry

Dance:

Gold: Papadakis/Cizeron
Silver: Fear/Gibson
Bronze: Reed/Ambrulevicius

Nobody in Pairs is particularly speaking to me this season, so I'll take the Hugos option and give No Award. Not even my dreams can put Cleo and Denys on top of a World podium yet, much though I love 'em.

It is difficult for me to just throw caution to the wind and just go with my favourites but..

Ladies:
Gold Alena K.
Silver Satoko Miyahara
Bronze Rika Kihira

Men:
Gold- Yuzuru Hanyu
Silver- Shoma Uno
Bronze- Jason Brown or Aliev
(I would like Kevin A. to have gotten into the top 5)

Dance:
Gold: P/C even though I didn't enjoy their long
Silver: Chock and Bates even thought I'm not a fan
Bronze: Piper and Paul or S/K or Stepanova and Bukin
That would have been my ideal top 5 but I would have been seriously thrilled if Fear and Gibson could have moved up into the top 5. I forgot about Marco and Charlene! Darn it. Too much talent. They did have my 2nd favourite free dance after fear and gibson and a good SD so.. maybe I'd have them a surprise 4th?

Pairs:
Gold: Sui/Han!
Silver Peng/Jin
Bronze B/K

Mostly I would have been hoping for Canada that we could keep 2 pairs sports, 3 dance spots and get a second for men.

I see some of you really went out into fantasy land. Now I feel like I wimped out on the challenge.

Ooookay, I’ll take it as an answer. I bet that winning performance was something else, what with you bursting out on the ice and everything!

The thread is a reminder that being the technical best, and winning hearts and minds, are so often NOT the same thing (something the ISU probably was reminded with their neverwillbereleased public votes). So go ahead and give where your heart leads you!
