Agree with Papadakis /Cizeron’s second at Europeans, and Kevin Aymoz’ failure to make the FS there, but, my vote for the upset of the year:

Roman Sadovsky, Canadian Nationals

Made infinitely more delightful by the call of the Canadian announcer who just couldn’t wrap his mind around the possibility of this happening

5. Hanyu Yuzuru's choice to change his programs to his Olympic ones

3. Artur Danielan's silver medal at Euros (and the Russian 1-2, shoutout to Dima Aliev).
4. Yuma Kagiyama not winning Junior Worlds and Shun Sato not podiuming.
5. Kevin Aymoz not qualifying for Euros free skate.

*) especially after how his GP series went. Heck, do we have a Best Comeback in A Season category? Because that's worthy of a nomination, adding to the chaos of Shoma managing to come back in the span of a season where Worlds is cancelled.
