Before becoming a coach, Rozanov was a singles skater for the Russian men. He competed at the 2006 and 2007 Russian National Championships. In 2016, he was hired by Eteri Tutberidze to help coach her junior and novice skaters. However, it has been mentioned in interviews that he also helped some of Eteri’s senior skaters as well. His primary role was to travel with the juniors and novices to local competitions. He has been accredited to helping Aliona Kostornaya regain her triple axel. In 2020, Rozanov changed rinks from Sambo 70 to the Plushenko Academy. At the Plushenko Academy, Sergei will become one of the main coaches and will have his own group there. His rink change came amidst the news of Alexandra Trusova and Veronica Zhilina changing coaches from Eteri Tutberidze, Daniil Gleikhengauz, and Sergei Dudakov to Evgeni Plushenko and Rozanov. He plans to work with Trusova and Zhilina and also form team around them.

He was unknown to many fans until this rink change and has been nicknamed “Hot Sergei”. Fans came up with this nickname to distinguish him from Sergei Dudakov. Here are some pictures for you to judge whether you think this nickname is fitting for him: :agree:

You need a picture of him together with "Eteri's other Sergei" to fully explain his nickname. He needs a nickname primarily because there were two coaches named Sergei at the same rink.

But overall, yes he deserves it, and he can keep it even though he doesn't need it any more.

Dudakov, forgive me. You are still first in my heart. Rozanov is a shallow infatuation! That said, more photos please!

Come on, people, these photos aren't going to post themselves. :drama:

Sergey Rozanov explaining and excusing himself: https://www.instagram.com/p/CAGfrYdoA8s

" I want to express my deep gratitude to all the employees of the Khrustalniy Ice Palace, led by Eteri Georgiyevna Tutberidze.

Eteri Georgiyevna, I bow to you in endless gratitude for everything that you have done for me! Most importantly, you taught me how to work in a team and truly believe in myself!

Sergey Viktorovich, it has been a pleasure to work with you. You always know how to find the positive in everything that you undertake.

Dania, you are a wonderful choreographer and I am very grateful to you for our joint cooperation!

Thanks to all of you for being close in difficult times, helping, supporting with word and deed. I wish you to remain the same friendly team and a united team. I will always remember with warmth our joint work. "

And a commentary from a subsrciber to the unofficial VK of the Tutberidze group:

" In fact, it is very difficult to find the strength to thank and repent, especially in public!
One must be able to understand and forgive others. We are all human, we all have our sins: Pride, Resentment, Envy, Anger.
I think everyone should moderate their ardor, stop condemning and discussing others. Believe me, it is very difficult for each of the participants in the conflict.
They all crossed out a certain period of their lives. They all lost faith and trust in their loved ones before.

And certainly, since we are fans, at this time we must not inflate enmity, and not attack those who we loved before, and glorify them, let alone wish someone harm, but we must understand and accept everyone’s choice, and then everyone will become easier on the soul. Love = forgiveness.
Say every day: "I'm not angry, but I forgive," and even if not immediately, but after a while, you can forgive those who offended and betrayed you. "
