24hours a day, initially targeted to tablets and mobile phones to "promote Olympic sports that get little publicity in the years between the games." The channel will be in english and feature "news, theme programming and events such as qualifying contests for the Olympics and world championships of international federations." "It will not show live coverage from Games."

As fs is one of the biggest winter sports we should expect to see some fs content here. Would be nice if it became a reliable outlet to show some of our competitions. Maybe they will hire the british eurosport guys to commentate:)

Sounds like a good idea.

But, we all know that winter sports don't matter. So, I'm not holding my breath for there being much winter sport content on it.

Wait till you see - the content will probably be mostly minority sports from the Summer Games. And the timing of the planned launch (a few months before the next Summer Games) would seem to confirm this.

Even if they do not have enough channels to broadcast everything they have the rights to in its entirity, at least Eurosport values winter sports.
