I have to agree, it only came alive around the end. It seemed like skating by the numbers for the first part of the program.

I preferred Keegan, since I found most of Zhou's program to be a snooze until right at the end, but that was a decent skate. I know everyone's getting quite a lot of positive GOE on things if they're skating OK, but the camel spin? Really? What about that was any more than, being generous, average (0 GOE)? Rant over.

I've come to the conclusion that I just can't connect with Vincent Zhao.

I know the media pushes him as Nathan's main US competition (or at least what I've read) but I find Vincent's skating really dull and kind of sloppy like today's free skate. Don't get the appeal.

Good grief, another flapping shirt for Nathan Chen. I just find it distracting, much as a I like him.

Let me explain, I think it makes him look like he has a posture problem through his neck, shoulders, back and arms, which I don't think he actually has.
