ugh can Marina and Igor please just make up so the Shibutanis can have good tech scores too...

At this point there's no benefit to Igor from their making up. He is clearly the better coach overall for the simple reason that he gets his top pairs the levels they need, though they were seemingly best together.

The Shibs FD is such a great piece of choreo ! At last they have a very good FD.

They should trash Chock Bates this year but will it happen ? SS are now both technically and artistically ways better than CB.

Shibs should have a shot at world title. I hope USFSA choose them this year. If PC can't come back in time, I'll bet on them as the best in Boston.

Oh my god NO. NO NO NO. Judges are wrong all over.

Agree, the british are not even trying to do ice dancing. The number of cross overs during their step sequences is telling. The gap between them when they happen miracoulously to skate in hold and their mediocre SS just says the Shibs are just three to more different league above. Horrible judging.

Ugh, Shibs do not deserve to be coming in behind C/B.

It's like I said before - the judges are trying to boost any top European team they can. Last year they boost the French team right form the get go and now they seem to be doing the same with C/B!

Must be the Shpilband effect or the judges are on speed and opium. No way should C/B be ahead of the Shibs. Especially with that program and their inferior SS.

You guys need to look carefully. The best things about the Shibs program are the music the opening and the second lift. It is a pretty open and easy program. It seems to just ramble on. It works as a lovely extended exhibition but not a competitive program. There was so much arm flailing, I thought they were a Russian team. But I agree yes, their team needs better technical specialists asap. Either they have to bring in someone else or they need to leave.:disapp:

Look at that program again, they practically are skating hand in hand for the whole thing.

I believe she's missing the front of her skirt. And what's that supposed to be on her leg?

I"m sorry, but G/P really aren't doing it for me this year. I get they're trying to be quirky but it just feels like they're trying way too hard. And all it's doing is making me dislike her even more....

I wasn't a huge fan of G/P's program.

I think people here are greatly exaggerating C/B's faults, but even if not it is clear what the Shibs need to fix to beat them- the levels. I flatly don't believe there is some Euro conspiracy to elevate C/B of all teams. The honest truth is that the Shibs can't hit levels in the early season to save their lives for the past few years, and that is a big problem for them. That is what they need to fix. Loving them and their programs (which I do) doesn't change that.

Poor Maia and Alex. This is NOT the result they needed from this competition.

I hope they lock themselves in the rink with Massimo and not leave until they're hitting all Level 4s, all the time.
