In Russia to compete in Senior competition is needed to be 12 or elder, except Senior Russian Cup Events (14 or elder) and Senior Nationals (14 or elder or to qualify to JGP Final).

Alena Kostornaya was born 24 Aug 2003.

4th Russian cup starting tomorrow. Hopefully we will see some of the new partnerships, such as Vigalova with her new partner, Soloviev with his new partner, Gainedtinova with a new partner, Bobrov with his new partner etc. If they don't attend, they won't have a chance to compete at the nationals.

In junior ladies: Yushenko, Kolomiets, Nugumanova, Lozko, Mitrofanova, Mikhailova, Alina Solovieva.
In junior pairs: disappointing that there doesn't seem to be any of the new partnerships created from those who had last year JGP events. No Vigalova with her new partner, (no Zakroev with his new partner in senior event), no Gainedtinova, no Beklemisheva, no Bobrov... Bobrov has already had one small competition with his new partner, Ustinova. If they won't compete, does it mean that it didn't last, or does it mean that they don't think they are good enough to try and qualify for the nationals?
