And I’m back in my seat in the arena! And the best part? The annoying talkers aren’t here! So fingers crossed they just got tickets for the ladies event and won’t be at the rest of the competition.

Ladies is the most stressful event for me so I’m exited to just enjoy the rest of the competition without feeling like I’m gonna throw up!

Though, I’m already mentally preparing myself for Adam. I’ve been a fan since he was a jr skater so the idea of him making then Olympics makes my ice cold heart warm up.

Alexandria and Jacob, an interesting new team. Gorgeous twist and a unique upside-down death spiral (is that even a thing? haven't seen that before). Lots of little errors. The biggest shame IMO was the end of the SBS spin; it was very nicely synced until the end. Looked like Jacob came out a turn early, or she did one extra. They also need to work on projecting outward. There were a lot of moments in the skate where they almost looked like they'd stopped or were waiting for each other or had forgotten their steps or something. But they've only been together 8 months... we'll see how they develop.

Oh dear, this is not Caitlin and Ernie's night, I'm afraid. Very crashy twist and a nasty fall out of a throw so far.

edit: well, no more crashes, thank goodness, but not a brilliant skate. Very emotional Ernie at the end... can't quite read him but I think it's disappointment.

Glad the IN commentators aren't talking during the skates this time. Last night they were SO chatty.

Timlen/Highgate-Brutman are very new and trying. They look better to me as partners than Yao/Simon. And the announcers are busy making so many excuses for Yao/Simon. I am not high on Yao/Simon at all. They need to make a lot of improvements. Because they are backed by USFS and coached by Dalilah, they get decent scores. They may have some better elements than T/H-B, but T/H-B are a better matched team than Y/S. Simon had a much better connection with his former partner who matured with womanly hips, and it's hard for ladies to persevere in pairs with that body shape these days (especially when your partner has a slight build, like Simon does). It's not impossible, but it takes a lot of drive and determination (e.g., Meagan Duhamel).
