Adam Hagara is a men's singles skater who represents Slovakia. He was born on 26th April 2006 in Trnava, Slovakia.

At junior level he is the 2024 ISU World Junior Championships bronze medalist, 2024 Youth Olympic Games silver medalist, 2023 ISU JGP Linz champion and 2023 ISU JGP Final bronze medalist. He is the first Slovak figure skater who won a JGP event, qualified for JGP Final, won a medal at JGP Final, won a medal at Youth Olympic Games and won a medal at World Junior Championships.

In senior category he is the 2022 Tirnavia Ice Cup and 2022 Skate Celje champion.

He is coached by Vladimir Dvojnikov and his sister Alexandra Hagarova in Trnava and Bratislava, Slovakia.

Domestically he represents the club KK Trnava.

I will be crossing my fingers for him, what he achieved in Linz is already amazing, hopefully he can bring in another performance like that and make it to the JGP finals, that would be epic.

Despite how Budapest ended, I'm really proud and happy for Adam. He made a new personal best in short program, sending him to early lead. Sadly with JGP final ticket at stake he couldn't quite hold his nerves and had four falls in his free skate, three in his single jumping elements (3A, 3Lz, 3S) and one in a choregraphic element. Despite this he still ended with the fifth best free skate and overall in a great fourth place. Sadly this means that while it's still possible that he will make it to the JGP final, it's no longer in his hands. But no matter how this ends, 1st and 4th place in JGP are a great achievement that he can build on as he heads into the senior part of his season. :cheer:

Adam had a great SP skate at the YOG this morning (for him afternoon I think). He is currently in 2nd place with a very small distance to 1st.
