Asking for advice on the "must pack" items to survive a week at Nationals. I went to a few events in Omaha but this will be my one and only week long event.

Some sort of lanyard with a see-through sleeve - put your tickets in it so you don't have to try to find them. You can also put your glasses, a pen, and your room key in it so they are close at hand when you need them.
We like to bring some tape - to tape the starting orders to the seat back in front of us.

Thanks for the advice! It is much appreciated. I am making my lists and checking the weather reports (heads up, if you plan to arrive in KC next weekend there is snow in the forecast). I have about a 6 1/2 hour drive from my southeast Missouri home to get across the state to Kansas City. Looking forward to meeting some of my fellow skating fans.
I will be there half day on Wednesday and most of Friday, Sat. & Sun.
Long time GSer, first time poster. I'm attending! It will be my first time at a big competition and I am so excited!

A little late to the party, but if you haven't left yet -- hand sanitizer and those little Wash n Dri wet wipe thingies are good for your hands. Last year at Nats, I was kinda careless and ended up getting a horrible cold when I returned from St. Paul. I just think with touching railings, seat backs, being in crowds, etc., the extra precaution helps. Went to a couple other events and didn't get sick, but the careless time I did! Just a thought. I know I sound like Howard Hughes!
