In advance: If you think this idea is just plain silly, can be improved or whatever, then please let me know I merely thought this might be a starting point for a thread like this and I'd just give it a go.
Apparently there's a wish for a video thread that does not yet include the results, but instead lists the videos in the initial starting order. Since so many people spontaneously stepped in last week to provide those kinds of lists, I figured we could give this another try. It would be great if we could keep this a group effort, meaning that we'd split the work and have as many people as possible work together. That is assuming that enough people are willing to keep this kind of thread alive in this manner
Last time Doris was kind enough to reorganize the posts and move the video lists to the front page. I thought I could try to keep this organized from the start (not sure this will work, but it should be worth a try). I'd like to keep a "master list" here in the first post, from which I would directly link to the posts within this thread where people posts their video lists. That way the video lists can be easily found and won't get lost between other posts.
If you want to chip in and take care of a certain segment, it would be great if you could make that known in advance so I can put your name down here in the first post. That way we wouldn't have people unknowingly work on the same competition segment simultaneously, and we hopefully also wouldn't end up with the same lists over and over again. This isn't a requirement, of course. If it doesn't say anywhere that somebody's already working on a list, and you happen to have some free time on your hands, then your spontaneous effort would be much appreciated.
Also, if there already is a list of videos for a segment, but you would like to provide an alternate list (for example with different commentary) then I'm sure everyone would also be very grateful for that (and it would of course get listed/linked separately in the first post)
You can of course contribute as much or as little as you wish. However, if you volunteer to take care of a certain segment, I think it would be great if you could try to provide a complete list (so we end up with at least 1 video per skate). Sometimes there aren't videos of all skaters available right after a competition, so posting an incomplete list at first isn't a problem. But if you find a video later on, or someone else posts a link to a video that is still missing from your list, it would be great if you could edit your original list accordingly until it's complete. Otherwise we'd probably end up with a dozen asterisks.
Please keep your lists to only one post, because that one will be referenced in the first post here. You may of course edit them as you see fit, but if you'd continue your list in another post, the reference in the opening post here would become useless.
To avoid spoilers for people who don't know about the SP results yet, I'd ask our lovely volunteers to look up the FS starting order themselves on the ISU event page for Skate Canada.
in advance to everyone who may want to contribute anything
