Mirai will return to the Olympics, land a ratified 3A and win a medal!

Gracie will go into premature retirement.

Evgenia will decide enough is enough. Boohoo Eteri. Join the Poohs in CANADA to be with Yuna Kim's Coach and Choreographer!! Sailor Moon transforms into a Kimnadian. World will go :eeking:

Jason Brown 'I don't need quads' will leave moach, move to Canada desperately seeking quadsfestation.

The new OGM Ladies Champion will benefit from skate while Russian (again). With a poorly constructed Junior program (another repeat) designed to mask flaws, milking points, wins the gold even if never have won a Senior WC medal in her senior career (again).

Adam Rippon will become the runaway sensation at the games, and get Yuna level press (+ same Times 100 influential awards), for just being himself! And wins Dancing with the stars!

ISU will change a bunch of new rules again when it is actually targeted to benefit the power feds again (and again).

Tessa and Scott will become 2 times Olympic Champion, despite European Panels against them lead by France and Russia.

Yuzu will become 2 times Olympic Champion, skating with injuries.

Yuna Kim will return to ice with new programs.
More new programs (+ costumes) than the reigning OGM for ladies and men combined.

11. Skate Canada announces that the location for Skate Canada International 2019 will be at the TCC since all the skaters are there anyways.
12. Skate Canada makes a complete set of new rules concerning foreign skaters: at least 50% of the Elite skaters in a club must represent Canada. At first, Orser freaks out as he doesn't want to coach skaters of the second tier, just for the sake of it, but then after consulting with Marie-France he realises that he can easily convince some of his skaters from small federations to compete for Canada....Gadbois leads the way as the Danes and the Spanes have become the Canes...Yuzuru then switches to compete for Canada as he really wants the elusive Olympic medal missing from his collection : the team gold. Lil Bet replaces Queen Bet on the loonies after becoming the first "new" Canadian and lady skater all around to land a quad salchow in senior competition.
13. Michael Slipchuk, after his dominant win of the world with his house of Slipchuk runs for the next Federal election. He loses to Trudeau on PCS.
14. Trankov is coaching T/M and realises that Tarasova skates better with him than Morozov... He unretires and strangely has no issues with quads anymore since it is not his wife he is throwing..... unfortunately, the BV is so much lower now for quads that it makes no difference at all on their scores. He start campaigning for fair BV for pairs elements... Meagan Duhamel cannot stop laughing, louder and louder and louder that she provokes a tsunami on the St. Lawrence River. Morozov being dumped looks around and moves to Germany where he becomes Aljona's new partner.

15. After Moulin Rouge the musical premieres in the summer, skaters quickly announce their music selections. After seeing some of the programs at Skate America as a commentator, Ashley Wagner makes her WTH face on live television. She announces then and there that her break from FS is over and she will skate to ‘Come What May’ for her free program at Nationals, with Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor vocals. Wagner is “furious” that her program gets lower PCS than Karen Chen’s ‘Tango de Roxanne’ (musical version), ending up with the pewter medal.

16. After last season’s short dance, Marie-France have ‘Despacito’ stuck in her head. She and Patrice arrange for Justin Beiber to do a tango cover of the song. After having a music violation applied and all key points being called for timing, the entire third group of ice dancers doesn’t qualify for the free dance at Worlds.

17. Trusova wins JWC again, landing 4L<, skating to “My Hips Don’t Lie” for the FP.

JGPF will be 100% Tutberidze in ladies. Then ISU will rename it "Tutberidze cup".

JSF will use the Korean ranking competitions system only for ladies.

Satoko will skate on Kanye west song "power" for her SP.

Wakaba will skate on Shakira's song "Waka Waka".

Alina retires. Not because of losing her jumps or anything but because the dog she received from the Japanese made her consider other routes of being succesful. Like getting her dog win prizes.

Olympic figure skating actually started off in the Summer Games: London 1908 and Antwerp 1920 both had figure skating competitions.

And there were some pretty famous names winning the Men's competitions in London!

Ulrich Salchow (SWE) won the Men's Singles, while Nikolai Panin (RUS) won the Men's Special Figures.

Just to complete the results, local London girl Madge Syers won the Ladies Singles; and Anna Hübler / Heinrich Burger (DEU) won the Pairs.

In Antwerp, Swedish skaters won both Singles competitions - Gillis Grafström in the Men and Magda Mauroy-Julin in the Ladies.

And in Pairs, the winners still hold the record as the oldest Male and Female Olympic Gold Medallists in figure skating - married couple Ludovika and Walter Jakobsson, who were representing Finland (although she was actually German).

Ice Dance wasn't introduced until much later (1976! :eek:

Throwing in some sarcastic Saturday predictions:

18. Posters flood GS with a 500 page thread as more Russian drama ensues, this time with the announcement that Ilinykh/Katsalapov will rekindle their partnership with a spot opening up on the World team, due to B/S taking a break.

19. In an effort to prevent communication between the judges during the competition, the judges' side of the rink does not exist anymore. Rather each judge is spread out around the rink like the vertices of a nonagon. Ticket sales go up as every seat is now a good seat. Rather than have their backs facing any number of judges, skaters choose to end their programs lying on the ice, facing the sky.

Here's my rant:
1. Kevin Reynolds reconsiders his decision and comes back to win Nationals.
2. Julia Lipniskaya returns to competitive skating and wins Russian nationals
3. Patrick Chan turns to ice dancing
4. Figure skating championships are show at TV from beginning to end, not skipping any skater, and with no commericials

Some more!

1. Fuji TV decides that instead of taking YouTube videos down, it would be better to monetize the videos. Eventually they become so rich off of YouTube videos that they buy out global broadcasting rights to all competitions, even ones without any Japanese skaters. Soon, US Nationals coverage and Europeans are controlled by Fuji TV official livestreams that are only available in Japan. Despite the power of Japanese companies over figure skating Japanese skaters' PCS decreases by 50%.

2. With a rough season behind her, Mai Mihara shocks the world with not one, but TWO Cinderella programs. In fact, the SP and FS music are exactly the same but the FS includes a drone note until the program ends to extend the length. Judges are impressed and regularly give her 10s in her PCS for her fabulous interpretation. Her success is so unrivaled that Brian Orser comes to ask coaches Nakano and Graham for coaching advice.

3. The Korean ranking system is abolished after Yuna Kim comes back and loses by 0.01 to Evgenia Medvedeva for the sole Worlds spot. Despite this, KSU decides to send Young You after realizing they misread her birth certificate.

4. Enamored by the apparent success of programs like "Big Spender" and "Candyman", the ISU institutes a rule that music must have lyrics. The entire short program in the men's event is filled by the clip of the yodeling boy singing in Walmart, while the long program is dominated by "Gucci Gang".

5. Marin Honda gets a job at Marin Honda (the car dealership) and quits skating to become a car salesperson.
