Yes...Simon Hocquaux and also Daniel Albert Naurits. Could be worse though, it certainly beats POTO.

I love Inception, so I don't care how many skate to it - sooner or later someone will do it justice. :) Brian only skated it twice and then ditched it - I suppose I wasn't alone in loving it. And the French guys could do something about it: "You know, I really liked that... Why don't I.... ?"

Most of Mishin's students are very consistent...I think his "magic vest" really works! But then there's Dmitriev...:slink:

Well, things can't always work out... Has Dimitriev been with Mishin long? Or maybe he was with him before as well?

Apparently Mishin coached him 2007-2010 and just took him back in March of this year. So maybe it's not been enough time for the "Mishin magic" to work.

I remember when he left Mishin his father gave a very harsh interview for Dmitriev and his mother. He was quoted saying : "you don't leave a coach like Mishin".

So true it seems !

Indeed. Sometimes "father knows best" - maybe it was some kind of teenage rebellion thing? (How old is he?) Hopefully he can settle down now and have the Mishin Magic applied with the steadiness and continuity it no doubt needs.

Another young skater (in a long list) from St Petersburg who was lured to CSKA Moscow only to be burned. Artur is lucky that Mishin agreed to take him back. If he works hard and listens to Mishin maybe he can still get a GP assignment next season.

^Thanks Doris.

Just wanted to add... I'm very happy for Sasha Petrov. I have high hopes for him. Very talented skater but in the last 2 seasons has struggled to perform a clean FS, which had cost him medals. I'm glad he has overcome this hurdle. His best/cleanest FS to date. And he has won his first senior competition. I look forward to many great things from him.
