According to the above link / announcemnet there will no participants from the Eissportverband Berlin participating at German Nationals due to the Covid-19 situation.

Jenny Janse van Rensberg and Benjamin Steffen withdrew due to both having positive COVID-19 tests. Annika Hocke and Robert Kunkel have also withdrawn; she has a disorder of the 'balance organ' (presumably some kind of inner ear problem).

Janse van Rensberg/Steffen train at Oberstdorf, which makes me wonder whether Schott's absence is due to a choice not to travel, injury, or a requirement to quarantine due to possible COVID-19 exposure. She hasn't mentioned anything on Instagram that I've noticed and she did withdrawn after the SP at Dortmund according to Rink Results, so it could be any of the above...

ETA: Schott decided not to participate after having to quarantine for some days due to there being 'several' (so presumably more than just Janse van Rensburg/Steffen) COVID-19 cases at Oberstdorf rink over the last fortnight.

There are athletes from several nations training at Oberstdorf; I hope none of them take the wretched bug back home with them if they're cleared to travel for the holidays.
