Oh, yeah!!! We have another Formula 1 fan taking part!

Ach, he fell.

This boy, the second of the two Slovenian skaters taking part, didn't have any clues in his costume like Ninje van ERP (NED) did. It's a black costume with some red diagonal stripses and a little glitter.

Unlike Ninje, he used the part of the original recording of Brian Tyler's "Formula 1 Theme" that is actually used in the TV title sequence. And because this wasn't long enough, he then stuck some other music onto the end of it.

Also, his surname looks familiar. I think we had another skater with the same surname earlier in the week. Yes, the girl that finished 17th in Advanced Novice Ladies. Perhaps they are siblings. They belong to the same club, so it is highly likely that they are related (especially since they have a double-barrelled surname).

He goes into 2nd, with 3 still to go.

From the boys, we go straight into a girls triple-bill. We start with the younger girls, and get progressively older as the morning goes on. 35 younger girls (five groups of 7 girls); followed by 20 middle girls (a group of 6 girls; then two groups of 7 girls); followed by 14 older girls (two groups of 7 girls).

Who needs a coach sitting with you to get your results, when you can have 3 of your team-mates instead?



Love the support these young skaters show for each other.

Unfortunately, the skater in question, Skater #5 (the first of two back-to-back Hungarians), had FOUR deductions (equating to 2 points) and went into last position.

EDIT: Now we know why there was no coach with the first Hungarian. Skaters #5 and #6 are from the same club, and their coach was presumably seeing to the second girl. So when it was Skater #6's turn to wait for her results, she had 4 team-mates and a (not much older than them) coach with her. And they all spent the whole time looking at something on the coach's phone!

This girl, Skater #6, had 1 fall and went into 3rd position.​

Ach!!!

After the Italian girl that skated at #9 got her scores and left, the camera stayed on the sofa for a long time. And we ended up joining the Slovenian that skated at #10 for just the last few seconds of her programme!

Ironically, both of them ended up going into what was penultimate position at the time. So, the Italian went into 8th and the Slovenian went into 9th.

We stay with the Basic Novices but move from the younger girls to the middle girls. 20 of them, arranged into a group of 6 girls; then two groups of 7 girls.

As I will probably have left for my Sunday dinner by the time we get to the last group, the Italian girl we just saw skating at #2 is the twin sister of the final girl to go in this segment, who skates at #20.

I like it when siblings skate close together or, even better, back-to-back. But here, you nearly couldn't get them starting further apart!

Just finished the Basic Novice II competition (the middle girls), and was disappointed to find out that the second of the Italian twins was a withdrawal.

I was looking forward to seeing how they compared to each other.

Oh, well. I'll just have to keep an out for them again.

Now that the Tivoli Cup competitions are over, we can start the final day of the Dragon Trophy. And it is just the Senior Free Skates left. First up, we have a little bit of Sunday afternoon chaos!

As there was a withdrawal before the SP, we are down to 9 boys, arranged into a group of 4; then a group of 5.

Oh. I thought the Senior Ladies FS was the end of the event. I didn't realise there was a Gala.

Fortunately, they have put it onto a different stream. So, it won't be cut off by the 12 hour limit like the Senior Ladies SP was last night.
