Awesome entries. I'm particularly happy about Luc Maierhofer and Kyrylo Marsak in Senior men. :cheer:

@Orchidea would you have the entries in junior men as well? I enjoyed the competition at German junior nats, and I hope to see some of the lads again.

sounds like a name a Québec girl would have...

Lapierre has relocated to several countries due to her father’s work and has lived and trained in the USA, Scotland, Hong Kong and Poland. She is coached by her mother (Dianna Lapierre) and she is 173cms !!!

Right enough, it does sound like a Canadian name. But, she's actually American.

Her Mum was the commentator on the Warsaw Cup coverage for the past couple of years.

Olga and Eva-Lotta competing together brings back treasured memories of a couple of seasons ago when they would face each other off in the Senior-Bs. They were considered among the next big hopes of European small fed figure skating, but sadly both of their careers were impacted by injuries. I'm glad they are competing together again and hope it goes only upwards for them from now on.

I was suprised that both Dutch ladies are listed, because Lindsay took some pause from training and Van Dijk was injured? I just few days ago saw some instagram post about her? Or was it old picture?
Well, I just read a piece that Julia van Dijk is injured quite substantially: she skated too long (overloaded the fracture) and now can't do anything for three months. Here's the piece (in Dutch) but she's in pain, parents driving her around and studying from home. Says she is restless, misses the regular training and warns anyone not to continue skating when you're in pain. She might be listed but she is definitely not competing here!

3 Months in that age makes the return very hard

Thanks a lot! Perfectly bad timing for the BEV homepage being down.
Are there any German Junior Ice Dance Teams on the entry lists?

By the way, the document listing the entries has been uploaded now, so if you are interested in the Jr Women/Novices, you can find the entries here: https://www.eislauf-union.de/files/users/997/MeldelisteBavarianOpenStand11.01.2024.pdf

Also, 5 (!) Novice pairs (Though Sitkova/Kubacak are listed in both Jrs & Novices, I don't think they'll compete in both). Very nice to see some more interest in pairs at lower levels too.

Kopp/Beck are Jr eligible already (2009/10 and 2008/09), Krebs/Trofymov won't be Jr eligible until 2025/26 (10.2011 and 11.2007), Heckova/Valky will turn Jr eligible next season (02.2011 and 09.2009), and I'm not sure how old Regnier/Nandrot are, but they're competing as Juniors nationally already.
All of these teams are doing double throws and sbs jumps, and except for K/B all teams have already competed double twists. H/V even have promising sbs 2As, which would help them a lot should they move to Juniors next season.

tThere has been no official statement, but he only competed in singles at Austrian Nationals. I also haven't seen any content with Giorgia on Luc or their coaching team's social media lately, so at this point I assume they have split.
I have mixed feelings about this. Giorgia/Luc were quite promising, even winning a silver medal at one of their first international competitions, albeit in a weak field. On the other hand, I also love to have Luc back as a singles skater. If only he could get a triple axel...

Jumping off, I think European skating is having a big revival right now, and I thought about creating a DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) thread in the Skate of the Nations Section. Would anybody be interested in this?
I would love a DACH thread. I tend to follow quite a few National and/or regional threads besides my own, and this would fill the bill perfectly.

How does the Pay Per View work? Does it include replays or is it really one-time watching only?
