GAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!

We are starting the Intermediate Novices with that weird version of "Bohemian Rhapsody" that was played by mistake for the first skater in the final group of the previous competition. (The person in charge of the music must have accidentally thought that proceedings were a group ahead of where they actually were).

Thank goodness it eventually got replaced with the proper version of "Another One Bites The Dust".

And Group 2 is also starting with Queen!

Skater #7, Faustine BERTRAND (FRA), starts off with "Killer Queen", but then joins the long list of skaters today who are tempting fate with "Another One Bites The Dust".

I see that this girl is trying to emulate Freddie's yellow jacket outfit. But, she hasn't quite got it as spot on as Iida Karhunen. Apart from anything else, Freddie's trousers were white. This girl is wearing a skirt that is half white and half black.

But, I enjoyed the programme.

Awwww!!! The wee Swiss girl that started at #11 was skating to the "Bewitched" theme tune!!!

I remember watching episodes of that programme when I was a youngster, and loving it. And I am really hoping that the whole series gets repeated sometime soon, because I would love to watch it in full.

Right, I'm afraid that because I will not be watching the ISU part of the event, coupled with the fact that the Time Schedule is very vague and the livescoring isn't working, I will not be able to do reminder posts at the start of each segment like I normally do.

The rest of the day consists of 30 Junior girls; followed by 9 Junior boys; followed by 12 Advanced Novice boys; followed by 8 Senior boys.

Wow. Did somebody read this thread and take on board the things I was complaining about yesterday?

Although we don't have Time Schedule PDF's for the individual segments, we do now have start orders on the livescoring pages. We also have on-screen graphics telling us who is skating. And even a Tech Box telling us the elements as they happen.

They are also showing us the full breakdown of the scores on screen, which is something I would love to see more events do. Although, it does still seem strange that the rinkside announcer isn't reading them out.

A massive improvement over yesterday.

Awww, it's lovely seeing the two Andorran skaters that opened the day, Ainara ZAZO DIAZ and Ariadna LOPEZ GATON, sitting with their coach for Ariadna getting her scores.

I wonder if we will see them back again when the remaining two Andorran skaters go in Group 2.

If all the Andorran girls that have already skated do come out to support each other, the results area could get rather crowded by the time Emma HIDALGO AI skates!

Ariadna slots into 2nd position, 1.31 points behind Ainara.

The dress that skater #4, Ly Ann GHODBANE (FRA), is wearing reminds me a lot of a dress that my main skating crush wore for a programme many moons ago. (So long ago that I don't even know what the programme was, because there are no videos of it online. I only know about it because I saw a photo from Nationals).

And thinking about her reminds me of how much I miss her. (In a few months time, it will be 5 years since her last competition).

Anyway, Ly Ann goes into the lead.

I was enjoying that "Money Money Money" programme from skater #6, Victoire CLEMENT (FRA). But talk about an abrupt ending!

I know it was of the era, but I can't say I am fussed on her sky blue PVC dress. Lovely colour, but too "plasticy".

She goes into 3rd position.

Oh, the third Andorran girl, skater #7 Andrea PAZOS GUERRA, only had her coach sitting with her (the same coach as the two girls in Group 1 had).

But, she goes into a 7.61 point lead.

By the way, her dress was mostly the same colour as the PVC dress worn by French girl doing the ABBA programme (Andrea's dress had a white pattern on top of it). But Andrea's dress was far more beautiful, because it was fabric.

Skater #8, Lhanzay SANGYE (ITA), skated to Stravinsky's "Firebird". And it suddenly dawned on me that we aren't getting as many "Firebird" programmes as we did a few years ago.

And that's not right! We need more "Firebirds"!

After she finished, Lhanzay was looking more like a damp squib than a phoenix that had just risen from the ashes. She looked very disappointed.

She goes into 3rd position.

That resurfacing marks the completion of the Interclub part of the event. We now move over to the ISU part of the event for the rest of the weekend. And it starts with an Advanced Novice double-bill. 23 girls doing their SP; followed by 12 boys doing their FS. The 23 girls are arranged into a group of 7; followed by two groups of 8.

I loved everything about that programme! And now I want to find out what the music was, because I didn't recognise it.
