Just caught Pavliuchenko/Khodikin performing at the Opening Ceremony - didn't know that.

Junior girls will kick off in a few minutes.
Apologies for not translating into English, I'm at work and only accessed the info now. 🙏

Thanks for sharing. It seems that the Russian skaters compete even on their days off. Haha

Did they do their delightful exhibition program honoring Russia’s healthcare workers, with choreography illustrating ways to stay safe and healthy during the pandemic? I love that exhibition—and I think I see the hand of Betina Popova in it. ( I just saw recently that Betina is listed as one of their coaches. That explains a lot!)

I’m looking forward to catching some of this competition.

Totally agree! No, it was their FS, Daria failed to land one of the throws.
Betinka is such a great asset to the team!

The battle of the Sofias has emerged.

Separated by less than half a point after the SP.

I have to make a note for ice dance, I wanna see Aleksandra Shinkarenko/Vladislav Mikhailov. I'm so glad they still skate together, mostly the teams from Ice Age are together only for the show.

I'm also looking forward to Ice Dance with Grigorieva/Frolov, Khavronina/Chirizano, Shinkarenko/Mikhailov and Kurnosenko/Varlamov.
Especially excited to see Fedor Varlamov, ex-partner of Diana Davis, teaming up with Varvara Kurnosenko, who used to be a single skater with Mozer Team.

Khavronina/Chirisano, they will be among the favourites at junior nationals I guess.

Oh, I've just realised that Fedor and Varya have withdrawn. :frown: I was really looking forward to them.

Edit: They are not on the starter list anymore. Must be outside competition as it is her very first time as a dancer.

Senior Ladies Final Result - total points
1. Sofya Chapligina 151.39
2. Sofya Sarnovskaya 135.04
3. Ekaterina Galetskaya 134.23
4. Anastasia Kolidova 121.85

Ice Dance Results - RD (just 3 teams in competition)
1. Khavronina/Chirizano 68.90
2. Grigorieva/Frolov 54.99
3. Shikarenko/Mikhaylov 45.90

Varlamov/Kurnosenko took part outside of competition (I didn't record their result). I'm assuming because it was Varya's first-ever outing as an ice dancer.
