Competition Day 2 Video

Just a heads up~
When I record video, the final product will often stutter or glitch
However, the Chubu stream itself was jittery, more noticably for some of the Jr and Sr Women
Increasing the qiuality to 720p in the settings might help a bit

Senior Men FS
Sota Yamamoto

Senior Women SP
Mana Kawabe
Rino Matsuike
Mako Yamashita
Miyabi Oba

Junior Men FS
pending capture

Junior Women SP
Kinayu Yokoi
Mei Okada
Nana Sugiyama
Kaoruko Wada~pending capture

I thought Kaoruko was scratched from her JGP event due to injury? But, she is competing here.

I wonder if the Japanese federation is holding off from choosing the skater, until the results of this event? The winner of this junior event or Yurina could be sent???

The fact that Kaoruko hadn't withdrawn from Block when she was removed from her JGP is the reason I mentioned in the Japanese Women's thread that major injury was unlikely
The last Womens spot will likey not be filled
My guess to why the fed withdrew her is
1) it's a single spot left so no possibility for final~why waste the money
Prepandemic, Japanese skaters assigned a JGP needed to place 4th or higher (very rarely 5th) to receive or keep a 2nd assignment
If that was still the case, Ayumi would've lost Budapest and Kaoruko would've likely stepped in with a chance for 2 events
2) Even with a "powerful" coach, Kaoruko gets hammered domestically for underrotations
JGP tech panels have been strict this season, so I'm just assuming JSF figured it would likely be the same had she been sent
And If that's true it would actually be better she not develop a reputation abroad for URs at such a young age

That being said she could still be dealing with an injury but is competing at Block in order to qualify for Jr Nationals and not forfeit the entire season

Interesting 🤨

So, only one skater sent to the next GP event? Rena is my fave from the Junior Circuit. So, I guess having less competition is better for her. That is too bad for Kaoruko….😭

My other guess for Kaoruko's WD from JGP is that she simply cannot find a coach to go abroad with her...Coach Yamada is now too old to travel (I think she only shows up in major domestic competitions now), and other coaches at the club may have other students to look after...

Going to work on posting complete Senior Men's Results in the Tokyo thread at the same time so likely will just be recording

Forgot to mention only 6 Chubu Junior Women spots for Sectional and Rena already gets 1
So everyone has to bring their best
There is definitely going to be a couple of worthy girls left behind

Go Kaoruko! Revenge for not getting the JGP slot. Also, love Nana and Kinayu too!!

It is hard to just make it to Sectionals
