Just clicked the link, and immediately closed it again because I remembered how sore I felt at just watching them when that episode was broadcast.

No doubt about it, they are brilliant at what they do, and they deserved to go through to the next round. But, it is not my sort of thing.

But the worst of it is - they were subsequently disqualified and we never saw them again! :disapp:

For me, it started a bit later, after I had started school. But it lasted a lot longer than the children the article is talking about - right up into High School. But then schoolwork really took over.

The only aspect of the past we were being taught about at school was the human era. History was my favourite subject at school. And it was through this and my interest in palaeontolgy that I got interested in archaeology, and decided that was the direction that I wanted to take.
