Nathan Chen has come to slay for here and forever. Everything he does is just astounding. I'm just delighted and overwhelmed by this crazy overachiever 😜 it really feels like his Olympic SP was a reverse monkey's paw. Whatever bad juju was on that ice, it's never touched him since (and hopefully never will). Just flawless, day in and day out.

How on earth does he manage to keep that form and study at an Ivy League College is beyond me :eek:

Same. I'm sure he has nerves like anyone else, but after falling apart at the OG nothing else can ever seen as big or scary. He goes big with everything, even when he messes up. :laugh:

I also think his complete lack of focus on what other skaters are doing is important. He does what he can do to the best of his ability and let's other skaters do the same without worrying about them. Sure, he knew Hanyu was going to do 5 quads and adjusted for that, but that's the extent of it.

So happy for Nathan! Gosh, he's pretty darn amazing! I haven't watched this yet. It was on at 4 am my time so I'm saving watching it tonight on NBCSN. Again, not in love with the costume/shirt. But if that's what he needs to wear to skate like that, well I'll live with it. I prefer Mama Chen's shirt though. I think both outfits here on the GPF kinda washed Nathan out. I like darker colors for him. Anyway, so impressed with him. What a great champion - both on and off the ice (always respectful and humble). It's great to see the respect among all the competitors - just wish all the fans would be as respectful. I assume it's really a small percentage of fans out there that ruin it for the rest of us. Anyway, Bravo Nathan!

It is normal for Raf to not attend his students medal ceremonies? It looked as he wasn't there today, and if i not mistaken, he was not with either Nathan or Mariah when they were getting their medals in France (i know its a silly thing, but i was curious)

When the medal ceremony is not hold right after the competiton, sometime coach leaves arena early.

Nathan was fabulous and Yuzuru is always sublime. I have nothing but respect for both of them.
