I do appreciate that they took the time to confirm with Shoma's manager on this:

Some time that autumn, Uno, now 22, gave thought to withdrawing from competitions and taking a break from the sport. He said this in a TV interview translated by a YouTube user. Uno’s manager confirmed the English subtitles to be “fairly correct.”

“The only difference is that the idea was never from him,” Uno’s manager said in an email. “It was presented from those people around him.”

I think to me it was clear from the Shompery video that the people close to Shoma presented quitting skating as an option and he considered it, but it was a bit vague on whether Shoma himself ever thought of quitting skating as an option. Well, that's settled!

Speaking of translations, Alice on Twitter did a great guide in English for international Shoma fans who wants to purchase the Mizuno collaboration items!

I've seen two different things: Shoma was going to take a break from skating and he was going to quit skating. Confused but glad he re-considered either one to be in a place where he was skating b/c it made him happy.

Tree seems to be reading and liking the comments, so I wrote a comment that Toro needs her own Twitter. I would imagine he wants to keep the photos in his own account. After all, she's so cute! She's a feisty little thing, the way she was tugging on that toy! :luv17:

I will miss these updates from Itsuki once Shoma returns to Champéry! They are so cute!

The photos of Toro on that mat shows that she needs her own line of Uno pet blankets and/or an Uno doggie t-shirts.

The volume of updates is wonderful to see especially since Champery opened yesterday and it's true we might not see much of this kind of everyday life scenes for a while.

I just love waking up and seeing there is a new set of photos & then searching to see what everyone is so happy about.Toro has meant so much to so many & I thank her & the Uno brothers for that. :luv17:

Shoma looks forlorned but I don't know if it's b/c there are vegetables in his dinner. His rink is open in SUI and he lives to skate & can't. If mom can't go back with him right away, learning to cook will come in handy when he ships meat to the training center.

I love seeing the inside of their home. It's beautiful.

Pet clothing lines are lucrative. It's not like they don't already have an in with a clothing company. A Tree cookbook is a great idea! One of the talented artists could include little Toro scenes with each recipe.

Still thankful to see these photos of everyday life but am secretly hoping they have to end soon b/c Shoma is back to SUI and learning new programs.

News of Champery reopening as well as Aichi prefecture (where Nagoya is) also being released from emergency status is making me hopeful as well that Shoma will return to the ice soon, either back to Switzerland or in Japan. I know things aren't going to go back to normal easily, but a fan can be patient and dream :luv17: I miss Shoma's skating so much

But even then, can't be more thankful for the abundance of off-season content so far. Even with no ice shows and off ice events, there were a lot of soft Shoma updates, which I find somewhat helpful and soothing during these times... and of course baby Toro is the most adorable puppy and I'm just happy Itsuki is a generous puppy owner

Looks like Koshiro is back in Champéry - I wonder when Shoma is planning to return
