Gorgeous photos! Thanks for sharing! Was there ever a video uploaded of this show?

Unfortunately there was no broadcast of this show :(

But there are some short clips taken by Plushenko's wife who were there:

The blue Grespi costume really looks good underneath the show lights :luv17: especially in photos. Quadruple Axel's last issue also had great photos of it at PIW Kumamoto, including the cover.

We also got some footage of baby Shoma and Sota at Junior Worlds 2015! There's some really cute content there, like Shoma stealing food from Sota's plate

^^^That is great stuff! So jealous of all who got to see that in person. Little did we know that would be his last competition of the season. :sad4: :console: He still had so much more to give with those programs. Loved the dance-y vibe of DOMO! That one section of the step sequence where he reaches out and does that tight circle and then goes into those toe steps afterwards is so cool. Sigh.

No commentary HD version of DOMO now on Youtube! Just glorious and I'll be spending my Sunday watching this.

No problem Dreamer57! Thanks to Vilya too for sharing the CC videos with commentary and the Junior Worlds video. It's such a precious memory.

Watching CC DOMO just makes me miss Shoma's skating more... usually he uses the summer to start working on his new competitive programs or explore new styles and genres with new exhibitions and I really enjoy following each update and development as he start skating them in ice shows... I hope everything is back to normal next summer.

I don't usually revisit posts too often, but sometimes during the off season, it helps to ease the pain a little bit to remember some of the wonderful things that have been said about our Shoma. Since two years ago, so many things have been added that the list would have to be pages and pages, but here is my original post with a few updates:

--He skates like it's the last skate of his life each time, and his coach has the same enthusiasm every time. (Jonathan Beyer)

--He was such a cute kid. He is still a gentle kid with a cute personality, but he turned into a young boy and now he's a beautiful young adult. I think everything about him is growing steadily in a great direction. (Coach Yamada)

--He is completely well dressed. He has the best knees. He is the best skater after Patrick Chan, and he has guts. (Doug Haw)

--Even though he's a small guy, he's got strength in his legs. Look at those thighs. (BESP guys)

--Mystery words. What exactly IS she saying? She always knows how to help him stay calm. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W_CoYMxlMkY Bonus -- THE coat. (Coach Fluffy)

--Look at those skating skills. Look at that core -- so solid. Even with the quad flip, it's still the skating skills and musicality that catch your attention the most...He is like a nuclear blast -- small but powerful. With his ability to take his body off axis left and right, he is a bit of a magician...That young lad just speaks skating. And his intricacies with the blade and the manipulation of how he turns left and right and changes directions. His concentration going down through the leg into the blade is kinda like Scott Hamilton -- he's never not talking to the blade. (Kurt Browning)

--He's a wonderful skater and an attractive looking guy. He's such a great guy, I can't say enough about him. He's super. (Chris Howarth)

--I think Shoma grew up with my mother and father giving him a lot of love. (Itsuki)

--Sometimes you get people you really like, and you are entirely happy to help them. Even if we don't speak English, his personality is such that even if you are in a bad mood, he puts you in a better mood. He is bright, like good weather. (Alex Ouriashev)

--The other day, he came up to me and Scott and said "Please give me skating advice", but there's hardly any other skaters out there with such beautiful skating, his skating technique is superb. He has such outstanding skating skills that there wasn't really anything for us to advise him on. So I replied to him "We'd like to learn skating from you." (Tessa Virtue)

--Shoma has this smooth prolonged skating like playing a violin. And along with his growing recently, more a cello than a violin. (Akiko Suziki)

--I am happy that I can train in the same team with such a skater who has excellent achievements, talent, and also a good soul. He is very hard working. There are many things I need to learn from him. (Deniss Vasiljevs)

--Even more than becoming a fantastic skater, I want him to become a beloved skater. (Coach Yamada)

--This kid is putting on a master class of skating skills. (Kurt Browning - Time After Time commentary)

--Shoma inspires everyone. Other skaters can see with their own eyes how he trains, the strong will and concentration he has during training...Shoma hasn't changed (since the Youth Oly Games). He still has this baby face and pure and innocent spirit. I still remember his eyes. He couldn't understand English, but his eyes were all sparkly and full of dreams...I see no limits. That's what I see. (Stephane Lambiel)

I could watch Challenge Cup on TV finally.
The weather was terrible and I was really anxious because of satellite broadcasting.
Now I can’t help repeating both of the programs.
Shoma was skating and smiling.
That was everything.

Okabe-san’s comments (She is a technical controller but not this time.)
【Great Spirit 】
His performance attracted everyone.
I enjoyed this performance and I felt too short.
(From commentator; Shoma said “Because of long time no competition, I was filled with emotion.”)
【DOMO】
First time I was anxious that he performed this program and he could do his own skating.
But now his performance was great and I felt too short.
He grew up and now he is adult and sexy.
His skate was seamless and effortless.
Only sad for third jump. (4T)

Shoma was not dancing on his own.
Stéphane was dancing with him.
Jonathan looked like a photo at K&C. :laugh2:

I just want you to add someone.
Do you know Charlie and Tanith’s comments?
And how about this?

Thanks Arriba for those quotes. I watched the HD version on YT and it brought me right back to The Hague and that beautiful skate by Shoma and the joy that Stephane brings to his life.

Doug Haw and Jonathon Beyer are big, big fans of Shoma's skating: the good looks, the knees and the guts to try every jump and risk falling rather than do a double or a single.

I can see every note of the music sends a message to make Shoma's body move. I hope he keeps this program. I love the new flourishes added after JNats. It has to be an emotional program for all involved. What a good move it was for Shoma to change to Champery for the two years leading up to the Olympics. Lots to look forward to.

Don't know if this was posted before but a long video from Dec. 2019 in Champery of Shoma practicing jumps. 3A + 4T. Oh my.Thanks to koshiro enabler for posting the link to the video.

There were SO many things that could have been written. I chose only a few. I remember Tanith especially having wonderful comments about Sho's Ladies in Lavender program. i only put about 15 quotes here and probably could have had 500!

Yes, Jonathan and Doug are huge fans of his!...I don't think I had ever seen that video before. Maybe we saw a little piece of it. Very interesting! He keeps working and working! Love his determination, especially on the 3A-4T. Thx for posting.

Did anyone else see the Stephane Twitter message today sending love and good wishes to his skaters?

In some of the comments I cannot find again for the life of me, someone commented that Steph said Shoma was working or in the process of getting his work visa to go to Switzerland.

Did anyone else see/hear that? Cool if true!!
