Sunday NBC recap coverage

In the 4 different broadcasts I saw of Nathan's short program, every set of commentators talked through the step sequence - even the Eurosport guys. It's the one part where everyone should shut up. Thank goodness someone posted a version without commentary.

I cannot leave my tv seat to catch every Ashley moment. She has an amazing tv personality. I cannot wait her to replace Tara. Can you imagine Ashley and Jason commenting in NBC?

It would actually be more like Ashley and Adam. :hap36:

I did not like NBC's sneakiness with its promo for Skate Canada coverage.

The recap show for Skate Canada will be only on NBCSN -- and not on the broadcast network NBC.
But the voiceover for the Skate Canada promo said something like, "Watch it on NBC." (Did not say NBCSN.)
And I believe the accompanying graphic did not mention any channel one way or the other.

I know. I am a rabbit ears kind of a guy. Oh well. Fortunately, as a member of USFSA I only have to pay $25 a year for INW . That way, I can watch Mirai's programs from the last 10 years every week.

Yes! Good for her....maybe NBC might hire her?
BTW, I was taken aback by the Japanese fans' reactions after Chen's FS and after YH's FS...I hope it isnt cause they hate Nathan....I assume its cause they think YH is almost a God.....?

[ice coverage]

nbcsports.com has posted seven videos -- with Gannon/Weir/Lipinski commentary -- from NBC's Rostelecom recap show.

One of them is Nathan's SP , which I had missed at the top of the show.

I can totally imagine that. Ashley, as you noted, has a great TV personality and speaks her mind. Jason also has an excellent “stage presence” on and off the ice, and has already done commentary (I’ll be darned if I remember where actually, some small event abroad) and wasn’t bad for a total beginner.

Ooops, I have to confess that I overlooked something. NBC was not quite as sneaky as I thought.

On Sun Oct 29, NBCSN will air a 90-minute recap show for Skate Canada International.
11:30 pm - 1:00 am ET (check your local listings).

What I did not realize is that a week ohwell later on Sun Nov 5, NBC (the broadcast network) will air a 60-minute recap show.
3:30 - 4:30 pm (check your local listings).
