Hi. I am just curious. What kind of programs you want to see your current favorite skaters to give a try? Something they rarely do or something completely different from their previous competitive programs.

Here is my list:
- Javi Fernandez: I hope to see him in some darker or sadder programs. I love Javi being funny but I hope he can show more of his other side. ;) Something like this: http://youtu.be/mGtrNZwqpCY

- Yulia Lipnitskaya: something light and funny, and she's gotta smiles a lot, to show people that she can be versatile! Music from Ghibli I suppose. Totoro's theme: http://youtu.be/I1RhMA5NpsM

- Soyoun Park: I would love to see her skate to jazz. No more typical David Wilson's princess please!

- Patrick Chan: what about hip hop programs, PChiddy? Sounds fund!

- Anna Pogolilaya: Indian theme?

- Jason Brown: I also hope to see him in some dark programs. Something very very dark and tragedy.

- Plushy: Is there anything this man hasn't done?? Maybe some authentic Chinese music, bamboo flute?

- Yuzuru: More rock, please! Like this (recently, this summer): http://youtu.be/x_QJo3ItJFI
I also hope that Yuzuru will skate to more fun or upbeat programs, he has the versatility. :)

I actually would love to see her with Kill Bill as LP, in a year or two.

- Soyoun Park: I would love to see her skate to jazz.
- Jason Brown: I also hope to see him in some dark programs. Something very very dark and tragedy.

I like both suggestions, and I think they can do a very good job.

Jason's new Tristan and Isolde long program this year is a bit darker! Not like, "Omg Sooo dramatic" , but it has a much darker tone than any of his previous programs I've seen. It's gorgeous!

That was the first thing that came to my mind, but I would also like to see her skating to a quick paced, powerful music, because I have this feeling that she always portrays gentle, innocent characters. Go and show the judges your death glare, Yulia!

Woah, those are some amazing picks, Meoima! I'd love to see all of them (Yulia skating to Ghibli? Plushy to bamboo flute music? And though I detest hip hop, it'll be interesting to see Patrick tackling something fun again).

My picks:

Mao (assuming she returns): Take advantage of the new music rules to skate to a very dramatic opera piece. Epic chanting, layered chorus, dark theme--go crazy. We know she can dance like a fairy, but I think she's got it in her for something dramatic too (she already did in Bells of Moscow, but she can do even better than that).

Yuzuru: Something fun and light-hearted in the LP (but don't go to Lori Nichol; I'm afraid of seeing Han Yan's SPs being LP-ized). I mean, how many tragic/dramatic LPs has he had? They're lovely, but time for something different. (Maybe he can do a tragic/dramatic SP instead).

V/T: Maybe something folksy?

What about her Sabre Dance (sp) in 2012? That was quick-paced and powerful.

It would be great to see something in the same genre, especially with the other program being lighter in tone.

Sounds amazing. I would love to see her skate to the music of Rusalka, an opera by Dvorak. The aria Song to the moon, sung by a mermaid. Mao will be a beautiful mermaid! this is it: http://youtu.be/MwuNqcKUxto

I have just found his first SP recorded in 2007. The program was Sing asing Sing and he skates to Light-hearted music!!! Here: http://youtu.be/2ycoGp4q9Ms
I think he can do it. He was 12-13 in the clip. Some fun music does no harm! And he truly has the versatility. I am surprised by this clip! :)

V/T: Maybe something folksy?
how about vocals? I would love to see a pair skate this this song: http://youtu.be/z50k367WgPs

Joshua: a totally goofy funny program, more in the vein of "The Walker" number from SOI. (None of this "happy and upbeat oh wait it's Ed Sheeran" misleading. )

It's definitely time for Yuzuru to do something fun and show his sense of humor, after all these dramatic and super-serious programs.

For Plushy, I wish that he would try some sultry jazz...:

Gracie Gold to sth mature and playful!!
Like Yuna's James Bond or even Adelina's Carmen. Frank keeps giving her these classical 'fairy' pieces but I don't think she fits that part.
IMO her components could sky rock if she chose sth like the character of this music: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=NM2G7WYUEOs (from 2:20)

Elena Radionova on the other hand I want to skate to sth delicate, graceful and balletic

I've said before that I'd like to see Jason Brown skate to some 60's era hippy music. I've suggested "California Dreaming."

I'd like to see someone skate to "Bohemian Rhapsody," but not the soft orchestral version. I'm talking full-on vocals, complete with Wayne and Garth head banging.

How about a light-hearted program to Gilbert and Sullivan?

Something experimental to chanting monks?

I guess I'd just like to see something DIFFERENT in a competitive program.

Here is my list:

Fun choices! I agree with you re: Yulia, but let's leave it up to her. :)

Anna P could distinguish herself with the Bollywood theme, but not "Jai Ho" because that's too obvious a selection at this point. There are so many other better more danceable Bollywood records out there.

PChiddy could totally do The Notorious B.I.G., 2Pac of Jay-Z as an exhibition number. How about if he and Mao do a Bey-Jay duet to "03 Bonnie & Clyde" or "Crazy in Love"?

For Plushy ... something very, very quiet and minimalist, like a Phillip Glass piece. It has less obvious musical cues but I'm convinced there's nothing Zhenya can't do.

Pretty neutral about Kaetlyn but tontoK I could see her doing bohemian rhapsody and doing a lovely job.
