I feel sick. Could be the disappointment I feel over the treatment of my Shibs by the judges...could be all the chocolate I ate to calm my nerves during the Jr Dance....or a good combination of the two.
Unless the Italians do a complete wipe out, it is not happening for the Shibutanis. The judges have slotted the teams, and they will stay that way.
I can not get over the Italians being in front of H/D and S/S. In my opinion the highlight of the competition were the teams that finished 4th and 5th.
I don't think I'll ever understand ID. It seems the judges already have their minds made up before the whole thing starts. Just look at how neatly the PCS marks go in a perfect descending order as you scan the components. It's kinda silly how they just put teams about .20 points apart in each component. As if they didn't exhibit any different strength and weaknesses from each other.
FWIW -- Cizeron/Papadakis was 5th after the SD and rose to 3rd with their strong FD last year.

Okay, I just rewatched the SD -- Luca did one extra turn than Anna in their first set of twizzles.
How the heck can this be considered synchronized twizzles if he does one more rotation?
lol smh
I wish the Shibs had been able to skate with the last group, I feel if they had they would have had pumped up PCS and GOE as well. Argh.
All in favor of reinstating D/W, V/M, & P/B say I. This was one boring competition.
This a sad but true fact in judging and it happens in every subjective sporting event in the world.
