Definitely agree that Ashley got lowballed on the PCS marks and didn't get the benefit of the doubt on her 3-3 combos. I love how "Moulin Rouge" has evolved over the season - the little nuances she added post-Nationals make it less empty and she just really knows how to sell it. Loved the speed and transitions she had into that final 3z - she clearly got too excited, hence the edge switch/error.
Actually, I will say that Wagner should get another 0.5 more for PE and 0.25 for CH. However, she was over marked on SS and TR. Her edges are shallow and her speed is not on par with the top skaters. In fact, she has only mediocre SS IMO. For that matter, Miyahara only got 7.68 and 7.50 for SS and TR - that was the bigger travesty since Miyaharas speed, edge and overall skating blade depth was significantly stronger - her only weakness is her small built does not make her appear to cover as much ice on TV. Her more introverted and introspective skating also may not appeal as easily as someone who emotes and skate with bigger personality like Wagner, so I can see a point for lower PE scores but her musicality and ability to skate to music surely deserves higher IN and CH. For that matter, I will say Wagner's SS should at most be 7.75, TR 7.50. Since she was over marked for these two and low balled for the three more subjective components, I will say her PCS is about right. I think Tuks and Gold were both overscored in their PE, IN and CH while Miyahara was way low balled for all her PCS. Pity.
