I could not sit through a single program of Satoko the whole season, her movements are perfect to the extent of boring...no offence

I think she's got a refined and delicate style. I've never felt her fully reach out to the audience; she doesn't really demand attention from the audience IMO.

It's funny how Jason and Satoko went back to back, I feel both of them while lovely skaters with lovely programs, both programs are just a bit too samey throughout, could do with a chance in pace or something

Dang it does not even look like she is leaving the ice with her jumps

You know, the funny thing with the GOE bullets is that they reward both high jumps and fast rotations. So Satoko is actually smart, since she cannot dream of jumping high she jumps low instead and rotates faster. If she jumped normally she could not claim any of the two bullets.

Satoko has so many lovely qualities, but this LP doesn't do anything for me. It's pleasant and lyrical but it doesn't make me feel anything other than "oh that's nice." Her SP is somewhat stronger.

Time for Evgenia to slayyyy. I finally fell in love with her LP at Worlds and I'm ready to see it again.

Evgenia MedveSLAYva.

I wasn't going to say anything...but how did Jason score only ten points behind Shoma when shoma had 3 quads including a quad flip and two triple axels in combination with other triples while jason essentially had one triple axel and three double axels... Jason's skating skills aren't as good either. The judges really want NA to win.

may be Shoma got a lot of minus GOE on his jumps, but anyway I agree with you overall, just need to check with protocols later

nope :) jason has great flexibility and extension and very cool positions but he doesn't cover the ice with speed, flow, and doesn't have deep edges.... it's a very nice personal style he has and i enjoyed watching him a lot.... you could argue he is more lyrical or connects more with the audience but not say that his skating skills are better.... they are not even close IMHO

Jason's skating skills are better than Shoma's, IMO. When I was watching this particular performance, I was thinking, "Wow, JB's skating skills are even better than Chan's," actually.

Did you know there are elements besides jumps in the sport of figure skating?

Yes, mind you, and I think the non-jump aspects of Shoma's performance including skating skills, choreo, and transitions are slightly better than Jason's. Both have good spins and have great performances, but I was mentioning the jumps because that's where the biggest difference between the two skaters lie, and Shoma should have been 30 points ahead based on the jump base values alone.

Granted, I haven't seen Jason live. I have seen Chan live and was very impressed.

Asia's final score: 820.22. Medvedeva needs a 123.7-ish to surpass Asia and a 169-ish to pass North America (which won't happen)

Mao should just say **** it and focus on pre-rotating to get the big scores since judges obviously over look it. That score is outrageous for Satoko (and I'm a fan!).

All Browns spins and steps are level 4 with unanimous +3 goe and Uno doesn't have that.

Clean skate again! Wouldn't be surprised if it's a new WR with the way scoring has been going tonight.

78.19+73.36=151.55 (WR lol)
