This is how I look at the heights, if it helps anyone else.

Nikolaj is 6'5"

Evan Lysacek is 6'2"

Brian, Nathan, Denis and Mikhail are 5'6" (definitely not tall. Jason Brown lists his own height as 5'8" and has never considered himself tall. Even for a skater. ;) )

So I guesstimate for the others based on where they are.

I would say 6'0" for a mens skater would be considered tall. I could be argued into 5'11" ;)

Sorry to give you a new name already, but a couple of weeks ago at the Tallinn Trophy, we found a Junior skater that is taller than Lucinda Ruh. 😲

Helina KULL (EST)

I thought yesterday that Helina KULL (EST) looked very tall when she was at the boards with her coach. So, nosiness just got the better of me, and I looked up her ISU Bio. And it does have her height.

She's 176cm, which is 5ft 9in.

Yep. She's tall.

And given that she's only 15, she will very likely get even taller! 😲

Unfortunately, she had a couple of falls there now. So she is unlikely to reach the dizzying heights in the results table. (I know, I'll get my hat).

Ah, she did go into the lead of the FS and overall.

CaroLiza_fan

Ok, new tallest woman I've seen in skating - Even taller than Vika Safonova (174 cm) and and Lucinda Ruh (175 cm) who I thought were the tallest female skaters doing Triples and competing internationally.

Great work making out the table, @labgoat!

Both Ryan Bradley and Jeremy Abbott's height need to be adjusted, they're taller than that.

Both ISU and Wikipedia have Ryan listed at 175 and Jeremy at 178, if you have another source please share or provide an accurate number for me

I posted a bunch of skaters so that we could have this very discussion. I have heard of everyone above Ryan Bradley & Johnny Weir referred to as tall so that's where i feel the line breaks. Ryan's height is under discussion at this point and I await new info.

Numbers that surprised me:
John Curry 180
Morisi Kvitelashvili 180

Much of the isu information is not updated in many years. Many of these guys heights were entered when they started in Jr or Sr competition and then never updated. They (Ryan and Jeremy) both teeter on the 6 ft/5'11" mark.

So the math says 180 for 5'11" then. Does that sound right to you?
Same height as Curry & Kvitevashvili?
I can adjust if you can confirm?

For pairs gals: Minerva Fabienne Hase - She's 167 cm

Personally, I'd put the cut-off for tall women in pairs at 163/164-ish? I feel like there are too many gals in the 158 - 162 cm range for anything below that to be tall.
For the pairs men, definitely over 180 cm, possibly even over 185 cm, just because pairs men tend to be on the taller side.

I thought Conrad Orzel was taller. He just looks that way! In our country a man of that height certainly wouldn't be considered tall, perhaps only among skaters. He's still among the taller guys, although Nikolaj Memola will probably dwarf him!

It is so interesting and helps me adjust my perception when I know how short or tall a skater is when watching on video.

Finland's Petra Lahti, junior, women, 15, skated in JGP Osaka this season, is at least 165 cm. Maybe taller.

I had no idea that my hero Nikolai Panin was so tall. He was the first and only Olympic champion (1908) in the discipline of "Special Figures."
