Anything relating to the incident itself (videos and photos), netizen's reports if they were there, fans worrying about them, and updates on how Han & Yuzu are now doing belong right here!
Anything ELSE (i.e endless debating/opinions) relating to the incident and how it was handled should go here. Thanks
For anyone who doesn't know, Han & Yuzuru had a nasty collision during the FS warm-up at Cup of China. They were taken off the ice, bleeding, seen to by the medical team, & then chose to skate. Yuzuru was bandaged and said to have possibly been unconscious after the fall by commentators(although now that additional videos have surfaced, it seems that Han was confused for Yuzu, as Han was the one laying near the boards, while Yuzu was taken farther back out of sight). Han was reported to have been withdrawing, skipped the additional warm-up (which Yuzuru participated in), but then chose to skate as scheduled. They were both taken to the hospital after the event, with at least Yuzuru being taken on a stretcher.
The conversation in the Men's FS thread was getting out of hand, so this thread is just for any health updates. Any news on their health would be very much appreciated.
eta: Slowmo & real-time videos of the collision for anyone that has not yet seen it. And here & here are different videos of them being taken off the ice. Here are some photos taken after the collision. Here is a video of Yuzuru as he took the ice to warm-up after the colliison & then being helped out of the K&C, thanks TealColoredIce2! Here is a video of some comments from other japanese skaters after the fall + Elizaveta(who said she wanted to run over and hug Hanyu and say 'it's going to be ok', thanks Newbiespectator for the translation & link!).
eta: Thanks to begin, yyyskate, Meoima, etc., for this update- both Han Yan & Yuzuru are out of the hospital for now, in wheelchairs. Yuzuru was seen leaving in one (not sure if it's just the usual hospital protocol or if he will be in one for some time?) & Han is said to have returned to his hotel in one.
eta: Reportedly, Han Yan plans to compete at TEB & Yuzuru Hanyu will be staying in Japan until the NHK, not sure if he will compete or not?
eta: Updates thanks to begin (source) & HanDomi & SkateFiguring (source) & jace93 (source) & shingalas(many, many updates, thanks!) & ayarose & Newbiespectator & Kalina & Maria Victoria

Olympic champion Yuzuru Hanyu collided with another skater in the Cup of China free skate warm-up, bled, competed with his head wrapped, fell five times in his performance and finished in second place Saturday.
Hanyu, in his first top-level competition since winning the World Championships in March, and China’s Han Yan collided near center ice at the Shanghai venue while preparing for their free skate.
Hanyu lay on the ice for several seconds, blood streaming down his chin, before two officials with medical uniforms on reached him.
Once off the ice, China’s Han lay motionless while being tended to just behind the boards. Han performed his free skate 45 minutes later and finished sixth.
Hanyu was taken farther off the ice and checked out while sitting down. He returned to warm up and appeared disoriented, pointing to his head multiple times.
Hanyu skated about 50 minutes later, fell five times in his “Phantom of the Opera” performance and finished in second place, just as he was after the short program Friday.
Hanyu had to be held up by coach Brian Orser after he stepped off the ice following his free skate.
“You’ve got to keep breathing, OK?” Orser, a two-time Olympic silver medalist, told him. “Hang onto the boards.”
Russian Maksim Kovtun won with 243.34 points. Hanyu scored 237.55. American Richard Dornbush took third with 226.73.
Hanyu bawled in the kiss and cry area after his score came up, appearing overjoyed.
“You’re going to feel it tomorrow,” Orser told him.
Hanyu was attempting be the third different Japanese man to win in the first three Grand Prix events of the season, a feat never done by any nation.

I've just watched the news on Fuji Broadcasting TV saying that Yuzu's got 7 stitches but will enter the NHK cup.
I won't translate the whole article especially about the event we have seen, which is a bit glorified.
Behind the scene: Han insisted on leaving the ice on his own but colapsed on the way to the room for resting and was carried on stretcher. With temporary unconsciousness, his sight was affected as well. His coach had him take off his skates and wanted to call off his competition. But Han's first words after regaining consciousness were, "The competition?" With insistent desire, eventually Han completed his competition as did Hanyu.
------------
Yan Han walked off the competition ice on his own but he did not accept any interview but, with support, returned to the room for resting. The medical personnel showed up with the stretcher but they waited for Hanyu to finish his free skate. Hanyu too did not accept any interview and was absent from the press conference. He was carried out on a stretcher as well.
Han's coach reported that his condition has improved while Hanyu's coach Orser indicated that he was unconscious temporarily but has recovered. Barring any unforeseen happening, they will return to Japan tomorrow.
As of now, both skaters are undergoing further examination in the hospital. Brain examination has to be performed as they both lost consciousness at the time. The actual situation will only known after the examination results are revealed.
Hanyu received stiches on his head and chin and was checked for a concussion after the competition. His coach, Brian Orser, said he would fly back to Japan on Sunday to receive further treatment.
"I know that tomorrow he's going to feel like he was hit by a car," he said. "Both of these boys are going to feel awful."
Orser said he allowed Hanyu to compete because he wasn't exhibiting any physical signs of a concussion after the crash — his eyes were clear and he was speaking normally, even making jokes.
"He was immediately determined he wanted to compete, and for me, I wanted to make sure he was healthy enough," he said. "I told him, 'This is not the time to be a hero. You have to take care of yourself.'"

Interview with Han Yan: (At the time of the collision) Neither of us were able to see each other. I'm wishing that Hanyu's injuries will heal quickly, I want to compete together with him again.
I can't really tell if those are stitches on his chin, but it's nice to see him looking okay.

Orser talking about how backstage, the American team doctor checked to see if Yuzuru had any symptoms of a concussion, and if he was OK, and she confirmed he was alright. Afterwards, they discussed whether or not Yuzuru would be able to compete.
*Translation might be off, sorry. Also will add videos if I see them pop up
EDIT: Hanyu will not be returning to Toronto between now and NHK.

H. Yan attended banquet at #CoC14. Said he feels much better, still sore, but no headache. Doctor told him to rest for 4 days.
Here's some news today: http://www.sponichi.co.jp/sports/news/2014/11/10/kiji/K20141110009257750.html
Not much was mentioned just that the "official results" of the work up will announced in 10 days time. That JSF is indeed considering sending their own doctor to overseas competitions and stop relying on the organizers. They are going to discuss about it. The rest of it is something we already know. That Yuzu arrived yesterday at Narita amidst the cheers of his countrymen. The stitches and stapling he received.
As a doctor, I honestly think they already know an unofficial result. We often received results of diagnostic exams within minutes to an hour but maybe they are conferring with several specialists for now. From experience, I usually give a preliminary report to relatives but still withdraw some details until I get several opinions. In short, we tend to be vague with the info until everyone that can be asked about it.

Sorry my Japanese is not very good, especially medical terms, but this article has just come out maybe 5min ago, looks like no concussion but he does have a cranium contusion (among other things), and he will require 2~3 weeks to fully recover.
EDIT: 「頭部挫創、下顎挫創、腹部挫傷、左大腿挫傷、右足関節捻挫」 are the listed diagnosis, so cranium + lower jaw bruising, abdominal + left thigh (internal?) bruising, right leg joint sprain
I'm sorry, I don't know what internal bruising really entails, I had to use a dictionary for a lot of these terms.
Also he's still listed for NHK, although the article highlights that appearing at NHK would be difficult with how things are right now.
This was translated on another forum...thanks to the original poster.
Yuzuru's comment:
I deeply apologize for causing concern to you all and for all the commotion I caused. I would like to take a good rest and have my injuries cured. As for my schedule, I would like to decide as I see how the recovery goes.

The medical check revealed that there was no brain damage (thanks for the info and translation to Mii9000 from YH Forum).
This confirms that the diagnosis was referring to the superficial damage to his head and chin.
^Thanks Kalina and Mii9000 for that confirmation! Answered prayers. Am so relieved and happy with the sense that Yuzuru has dodged a bullet here.
Over at the Yan Han thread, no news yet about the results of his medical tests results although there was a post that his coach confirmed he will be competing at TEB. I hope someone can update us on this.
Just got home. I've read the reports and although I'm not that proficient in Japanese, I can at least breath a little easier now.
From the official press release, his injury is listed as [頭部挫創、下顎挫創、腹部挫傷、左大腿挫傷、右足関節捻挫], which I would translate in my mind as: head contusion, contusion on the lower chin, abdominal contusion, left thigh contusion and his ever present buddy R ankle sprain.
As I've said, contusion means bruising. I would rather have a patient with a contusion because it meant I'm more aware of what to expect, whereas concussion is more of a minute injuries whose extent I can't immediately assess. However, like all injuries there's a severity scale and risk stratification. One's prognosis depends on that severity thus patients' particularly suffering from intermediate to severe head injury are closely monitored and those with minor head injury are given head trauma precautions. They are both dangerous thus head injury shouldn't be taken lightly until at least a neuroimaging scan clears them.
Now let's move on to Yuzu's report, which is now our most important source of information. I would rather think that the bruising was a combination of the force received by those area and the natural reaction of the body to the injury. Base on the press reports, the scans were clear (I guess this means CT/MRI plus a probable ultrasound for blood/free fluids in the abdomen which is often done in blunt injury to detect internal bleeding) and the kanji used was 頭 (head) rather than 脳 (brain) so I can say that rules out brain injury. Correct me if I'm wrong for those who are more proficient in kanji reading, I hope I'm not blinded with optimism for Yuzuru. I chosed to believed this report because nothing can be gain if JSF tries to withheld the info thus I'll pray more for Yuzu's health, believe his words and his family/team and just simply hope. The prognosis seems good.
Here is a commentary-free video of Yuzuru's performance, as well as of him & Brian in the K&C. I've transcribed it as best as I can hear, please correct any mistakes or fill in any blanks if possible.
If you're going to criticize anything Brian has said (for example, about him telling Yuzuru he can be 'proud' of skating or not openly chastising him) then please do it HERE where I have posted the same thing. Thanks in advance.
8:10-
B: No media, go right to the ER.
Y: Okay.
B: Medical room ok? And we'll probably get you to see a doctor, yeah? We gotta make sure you're okay.
Yuzu plays with his pooh tissue box, a fangirl screams like CRAZY and Brian says "wow."
9:00-
Y: Ok. I'm done. With this. I don't go to final/I don't make it to final/I don't even want to know.
Yuzu laughs, Brian sort of hangs his head.
B: Well you never know actually. You never know. We have to make- we have to get you healthy first, ok? You're gonna feel it tomorrow. No exhibition.
9:35-
The scores are about to show.
B: This doesn't matter, ok? The main thing is that you went out and skated. Alright? That's amazing. That's what you need to be most proud of.
The scores show.
B: Wow.
Y: What happened?
B: I don't know.
eta: Thanks to Vanshilar & Sherkane for filling in the blanks

Here is an interview with Hanyu directly after his performance. It's a quick translation I did so if you find discrepancies, please correct me.
This comes at the last half of the video clip 5:00 mark.
Narrator:
Amidst the differing opinions of whether or not Hanyu should have skated, this is what he said right after his performance.
Hanyu in wheelchair in the back hallway
Hanyu: Thank you, I’m sorry for the trouble.
Interviewer kneeling in front of Hanyu in wheelchair
Matsuoka: Your feelings came across strongly.
Hanyu: You don’t have to…please stand up.
Matsuoka stands: Did you not feel the choice to withdraw?
Hanyu: No, I thought about it. At the 6 minute warm –up I thought, ‘so this is the end of it’
I couldn’t even stand. (blood I think) was in my throat so I couldn’t breathe. I was looking at the ceiling thinking , it’s going to end here.
But I DID IT so it’s all ok!
Matsuoka: I thought you felt you had something to prove as an OGM? I think you showed everyone…not to give up.
Hanyu: That’s good. I’m really glad I didn’t give up.
At this time Hanyu is wheeling himself toward a van in a parking lot. He bows to Matsuoka.
Hanyu: Thank you very much. I was helped by everyone. Thank you!
Staff members help him out of the wheelchair and they are trying to get him into the van but he turns and bows again at the camera and says ‘Thank you!’
Whether it was right or wrong...in Hanyu's mind, if he can stand up, he is going to perform.
-That's the impression I got from this interview. I don't think he was considering setting dangerous precedents or how other people would react to what he was doing...He just wanted to skate.
