Yet most feds in the world will LOVE to have just an average skater like Polina. :rofl2:
Most? All Feds would love to have her! Including Japanese

Again, it is your issue. Red is red whether you like it or not.well I can tell you I wouldn't pay to watch her skate live.

It is your issue, not the FS's world. Fans with common sense all know that such a talent like Polina is rare. Do you know how much crossovers she did in her SP last season? Only 7!
Do you know the only other skater who did only 7 crossovers in a SP last season? Yuzuru Hanyu.
You don't like Polina's style, OK. But she is NOT AVERAGE AT ALL. She is definitely among the top 3 of most talented juniors ever.
well it's true, at least for me. Haven't discovered any russian lady skater that impresses me, and there seems to be a lot of them coming up from junior ranks. Same for the Japanese women. No one except Jun Hwan Cha impressed me.
whatever you say, if it is your personal preference it is ok but don't turn black into white.whatever you say, just expressing an opinion. No need to get offensive.

It reminds me of some people saying "Hanyu's Seimei is empty, no transitions" while in fact most tech specialists' analysis say that his programs have the most and the hardest amount of transitions.
If you don't like anything despite it being good, it is ok. It is your personal issue.
Thank you for your input. :luv17:
For me, Artem Kovalev despite without quad and 3A is the most impressive skater so far among the all disciplines. Marin and Polina are also a joy to watch.
what matters to you is subjective and not objective. Thank you for clarifying that.I'm not trying to be rude or anything, just expressing my opinion. When I watch Polina T. skate, I feel nothing from her program. Doesn't matter to me about her technical marks. What draws me to a skater is whether they can capture your emotions, like Michelle Kwan, Yuzuru, Javier F., and now, I've just discovered the amazing Jun Hwan Cha. I'm still waiting for that one lady skater since michelle kwan that touched my heart, and so far, she doesn't exist yet.

I was cold to Polina's skating last season outside of the respect for her monstrous jumps. I can understand CaroLiza_fan saying that he keeps his opinion even now. Yes, Zhenya and Yulia's skating is more emotional to me I can rewatch their best programs dozens of times - I won't do the same with Polina's. But, boy, one can't deny that Polina is simply outstanding and she has made a great progress since the last year. Realistically, put her yesterday performance in the last year worlds SP where Gracie got what, 76? Was Polina weaker in anything? Come on, I think that if she had been there with such a performance she should have won SP in the worlds. It was just flawless. If she is an average Russian skater than who is not average both junior and senior? Michelle Kwan yet another time?
Konstantinova is fierce. She reminds me Ksenia Stolbova both by looks and character wise. I think her skating is rough and unrefined especially when you watch Polina. But one cannot deny she has presence on ice.
Yuna Shiraiwa's skating was as boring as it can get. It looked also as if she fought through her SS and was even ready to give up. And her soft knee landings - they do not look beautiful especially when you have Polina as a benchmark.
Liza Nugumanova. Alas, I don't see much hope here. Good personality, good speed and spins. But her skating is as childish as was 2 years ago. Even then Gubanova looked more mature than Liza now. And her jumps are not here. Unless some miracle happens in FS for me the question Gubanova or Nugumanova will no longer exist.
Average Russian skaters - is fine, boring Japanese skaters - is aggression? The logic is lost.Is there any russian FS-fan, that can accept that there are female skaters outside Russia, that are as strong, as Russians? Why russian fans are so aggresive against non-russian female skaters?
Yuna Shiraiwa's skating was not boring at all. By the way - Yuna was heavily underscored in PCS. And the soft landings are not worse, than Polinas.
That aggresive patriotic fanatism makes me frustrated

Kiev, Ukraine? No more questions.

Do they have any logic after all the ***loads on Russian skaters you can find even in "State of Russian ladies thread" to name "aggressive patriotic fanatism" the impression that someone's skating was boring? Even when in the same post I clearly stated that was less than impressed by yet another Russian prodigy Liza Nugumanova? Just will expand the ignore list.
Agree. The better way is just ignore them. So do I.

Why so dramatic? Just read closely what I wrote. In 2008 she started coaching at her current place. What was before (often off-ice) should not be counted as professional coaching.
Anyway, you guys are simply ridiculous. Does it really hurt you so much, that someone came from nowhere and just for a few years got success in coaching like many best coaches in the world haven't seen? bosskil, trying so hard to ignore my clear points and observations, only to diminish the work of a hard-working young and supersuccesful coach, to desperately find and then wave like with a flag with anything that could be potentially one day negative about her work. What's wrong with you, what did she do wrong to you, or how could you possibly be so miserable to do it? Maybe you should try to be a Figure skating coach... maybe you will achieve a huge success and then everyone could discuss your work
