Hi there!
I sometimes have thath kind of impression - a skater learns some type of moves, but isn't comfortable with them and beacuse of that, they look sloppy. I don't know, why they decide to do them, if they don't really feel them. It often looks like they think 'oh, man, I look stupid, but I have to do that...'
