On the technical side of Alina's skating in IdF, the jumps maybe not the best this time, but I think the spins were better than in test skates and JO.
In SP I think she was for a fraction of a second behind her music or at least how it looked to me. You can notice it in the small steps on toes that she does during the step sequence by hitting the guitar notes. This time they were not aligned so well. Bytheway this is one of my best moments in the program and it's also a factor of the choreographical complexity of it, and the precision in execution that it needs.
In FS because of the deduction (absurd) she received she was cautious and the opposite effect was created, she was a bit ahead of the music. This affected a bit the timing in the execution of the spiral and the step sequence.
Next time all these, jumps included, will be fixed and the result will be a lot better.
I agree, after all, this is only the beginning of the season. IdF was Alina's very first competition, so these are all details that will be polished.
I was just rewatching Me Voy, while working on subtitles for the spanish tdp commentary and I must say, the raw emotion and intensity of Yasmin's words and singing, together with Alina's interpretation are just perfectly in harmony.
It's definitely my favorite SP of the season and it's going to become another masterpiece in Alina's career
