USA could have pitched for team gold but tbh as long as Chen wins individual gold all is well. Karen over Mariah was a choice too.

There is zero evidence that Malinin could have repeated that performance internationally. He bombed his only senior international event this year and didn’t even get the minimums for worlds.

It took until the fifth element, but Vincent finally added spinach to his strawberry banana smoothie. I don't think a better skate would have improved the medal position, so lets just consider it warmup for the individual event.

I think Vincent peaked a couple of years ago and now it's downhill.

Yuma was a very hard act to follow. Vincent recovered and didn't completely melt down, and I actually think getting this skate out of his system now may help him personally.

No way do I think Red Pants Jesus was better than the Crouching Tiger, but it doesn't matter in the scheme of this competition.

I may be American, but my heart was taken by Shoma and Yuma when it comes to the men of the TE comp. (Yes I know Nathan is incredible, but the heart wants what the heart wants). Because that's how skating should be. It's not world domination, it's the skaters.
