Abide With Me (Hymn/Gospel), sung before kick-off at the FA Cup Final (Premier League soccer, England).

Is it really? or do I mean, was it really? (A tangent: I like that hymn, but for years I couldn't stand it, because I had to play it all summer while learning the organ. And I don't like playing the organ, either!!)

I totally understand your sentiment given the associations you have with it.

Yes, it is. I'm not religious whatsoever, but it is always an incredibly moving moment (especially when your fave team is playing). Everyone in Wembley Stadium is singing along, grown men tearing up. The works.
