This team had better TES than Skoptcova/Aleshin in FD at the 5th stage of Russian Cup. Sadly no FD video yet but here is their SD video. She is new to ice dancing but he has been an ice dancer for years. Based on my own calculations they have made it to the Russian junior championships.

Is he same Nazarov who was Skoptcova partner? I don't know how they found junior russian dance team but [Merlin] AWAL Digital Limited banned FD for my country too.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kn8MM_h0al8

Who is their coach? This is not easy program (SD) to skate new team let alone new to ice dance. But this is great way for learning.

He is.

Their coaches are Denis Samokhin and Maria Borovikova. They don't currently have many notable students but Yana Buga / Georgiy Pokhilyuk who also have done very well this season are their students.

Did they also coached Skoptsova&Nazarov? Because I can see similar style. Who can choice Tango for novice age team's junior program and add hard holds/ transitions? ;) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wMEfDWO51wc

I was fan of Skoptsova&Nazarov. Great to see him again. While every ice dancer puts her foot down after twizzles (in step seq.) Elizaveta connects them to other turns. Especially in second step sequence she doesn't need to do that. Interesting. Good luck to them.

Anna Tarusina, competitions on prizes of Maria Butyrskaya, Moscow, 15-16 Jan 2016.

Her first comptetion after injury.

I re-subbed the FP the next day with the audio of junior-nationals of the revious year.
The stream was horrible and the audio just noice, so I made the change. I found it
pretty impressive that she recovered that fast. Just imagine, she was in hospital for
several weeks.

hello i hope my question fits in this tread. i saw a couple of vids from 10 year olds doing all the triples. i am interested in what Age are they starting to jumps triples and when do they have double Axel and double jumps. Most of the Kids start at 4 or 5 so the develop, memnt to triples it is extremly quick. how do they do it? is just being on the ice the whole day the key?? i would be relly interestet in vids from the recent Baby stars when they were 5/6/7/8/9 years old

"Jumping story" of Anastasia Gubanova (born Dec. 2002), arguably the best novice figure skater in history:

It seems that it doesn't matter how early she started her triples in comparison to the other skaters of her age, because by the time they were junior eligible, they caught up on her.
I wonder how did Zagitova's skating look like, when Gubanova made her first triple!

Well, I can't tell you how Zagitova's skating looked like when Gubanova landed her first triple jump, but I can tell you that when Gubanova placed second at the younger novice nationals in March 2013 with the score of 180.72, Zagitova placed 22nd at the same competition, in the same category with the score of 111.46. So that gives you the idea how she skated four years ago. http://www.fskate.ru/results/tour/1166.html

A year later, in March 2014 Gubanova placed 3rd at the oldr novice nationals with the score of 217.77, and Zagitova placed 17th in the same category with the score 148.87.

(Just to clarify, those competition have three segments, elements, short program and free skate, so that's why the score are so huge. But posting the scores shows the huge gaps in Gubanova and Zagitova's scores). http://www.fskate.ru/results/tour/1258.html

Even the last season Zagitova was not quite there yet. While Gubanova scored throughout the season 156-200, Zagitova's scores were 154-178. She would get nowhere with such scores this season.

It looks like this pair will make their international debut at Cup of Tyrol (28 Feb - 5 Mar). Can't wait, they already look amazing even though they are very new team.

Lina Kudryavtseva / Alexander Simenenko
Moscow Cup. This is their only competition together so far.

That's a very good idea, to get the qualifying score. One never knows when they may need it. They have done pretty well on their competition this week. They are one of my favourite Russian junior pairs.

That mostly illustrates that Zagitova scores are improving each season... and you forgot to mention this season scores... )))
