Just to let you know that I have posted the SP Start Order tables into the Original Post of the Predictions Thread.

The Entries / Results Page does not have the Start Orders divided into Warm-Up Groups, so I had to guess where the divisions were.

So, if anybody wants to create Competition Threads, feel free to nick my SP Start Order tables for the Original Posts.

My post upthread intentionally separated each warm up group by blank lines, maybe I should have labeled each group for clarity.
Here are the screenshots I took during the livesteam from the Men's and the Ladies' draws just to let you confirm:

Are there any videos anywhere of ice dance or pairs? Or are they still super elusive? Thanks in advance haha!

Sorry, didn't go into this thread before I made out the tables. So, didn't see your post.

It was only an after thought to post a message in here, in the hope that it would spur somebody to start individual competition threads. (I really do not like talk about every competition segment being in the same thread, because it means that it will be very hard to find things).

Back on topic, and it seems I guessed right!

I still find it curious that they have 5 groups in the Singles, because it means that we are going to get a re-surfacing before the final group. If we have 30 skaters, I would have thought that 6 groups of 5 would have worked out better. But, I suppose the rules do not allow for that.

There again, I'm biased because I think there are too many skaters on the ice at once during the Warm-Ups anyway, and it needs to be reduced. It's a safety thing. We have already seen two collisions at the Cup of China in recent years (Song Nan and Adam Rippon in 2012 / Yan Han and Yuzuru Hanyu in 2014). I don't want to see any more.

Fuji TV will be airing Ice Dance and Pairs on Friday 12.23 at 3am-4am in Japan (in about 10 hours from now...I think). So probably no video until then.

The men's SP has started. Good luck everyone!

This might have been already posted elsewhere (could not find it on this thread) but this twitter account is posting photos from Nats.

And their website is constantly updating with scores, interviews and some more photos (but in Japanese).

How about 5 Ice Dance teams warming up at once?
Have you SEEN that?! OMG >_<
It's terrifying...

Yep. I was really shocked that the Russians went for 2 groups of 5 yesterday rather than 2 groups of 3 and a final group of 4.

10 skaters on the ice at once is a recipe for disaster. Like, how many near-missess did we see?!

I'm not sure what approach the Japanese took, so I just left it as one group in my table. But, I really hope they split it into a group of 2 and a group of 3.

We're seeing groups of 5 all the time now, since each Grand Prix event now has 10 entries each in Ice Dance (barring withdrawals of course). That's two groups of five teams... presumably because they want to avoid a third warmup or an extra Zamboni resurfacing?

So many near misses, and sudden shouts of warning - some from the skaters themselves, but others from the coaches watching from the boards too. I fear a horrible accident is only a matter of time, and they won't rethink this until it actually happens...

It already happened 2 years ago :confused2:
