Sorry for the third post in a row :noshake: but Rika Kihira, Yuhana & Kinayu Yokoi,
Miyu Honda will compete at Western sectionals this week, they're all at the opening ceremony/order draw right now. It's streaming live on instagram. I believe Nana Araki too will be there, she's on the list.

Update: Moa Iwano is going to the US to improve her jumps :agree:

Great news! Can't wait to see Rika again, and a great great news for Moa!

Japanese tv showed a short docu to promote the upcoming NHK trophy competition, featuring Satoko, Rika and Mai! i'll share it here
Satoko's part https://twitter.com/junaaia/status/1058093673139789824 i only understand a few words of japanese but i think they're talking about how she has improved her jumps over the summer and won at Skate America
Rika's part https://twitter.com/junaaia/status/1058094256349315072 all i heard was "triple axel, triple axel, triple axel"
Mai's part https://twitter.com/junaaia/status/1058094476751601664 very short! I believe they praised her 3lz-3t

Updated news: it seems that Takeno Riko is switching to Team Hamada.

you mean Takino? or is she another skater? if its Riko Takino, wow didnt expect that!! even though i loved seeing Nobu by her side at nationals i love the idea of seeing 3 of my favourite skaters in the same team, i hope they can help her with consistency and URs, cause she has so much potential :yahoo: she can learn a lot watching Satoko and Rika :luv17:

Same! i'm rooting for her. She had a clean practice yesterday.

I'm happy about Riko moving to Hamada. She has such a great style already, very soft & elegant. Hopefully they can help her with jumps there.

So many japanese Ladies... I remember the name Riko Takino but I don’t remember who she is exactly. [emoji23]
So Team Hamada is growing huh? How old is Takino-san?

She's 16yo. Nice musicality, good artistic potential. Her lest season SP costume was like Satoko's for firedance. She medaled in JGP last season.
She started skating at 10yo. That's quite late. She's one of the girls who tried 3A in local competitions.

What really happened to Rika Hongo? Is she still injured or has not trained for competition for a very long time? It does not look like she can jump anymore.

Mako over Rika? Any reason why? (PS methinks a Rika on her game could win it, but we'll have to see how she does on the GP first...)

I think it's because Rika is inconsistent. That's usually why people overlook her. She landed all her jumped in her SP today at western sectionals tho. We will see how she handles her nerves next week at NHK

I'm sending all good vibes to Kaori today.

Congrats to Kaori in medaling! Was 0.15 points short of securing her GPF ticket but she still has a chance in doing so. Just like Evgenia Medvedeva, Kaori moved up from 7th to 3rd!
