thank you very much sabinfire for posting the videos :cheer:

Kanakos program was beautiful as always (I tend to like all her programs as she is very musical), too bad about the jumps though and it seems like there has not been much of a progress in that department throughout the years..

Elizabet had a good skate but still seemed quite juniorish to me (I was hoping for a bit more but I just need to lower my expectation for this super talented skater as she should be in good hands with team Orser)

The stream going down is a bummer but at least it's happening now and not during the Grand Prix season. Hopefully they will get those kinks out.

IN is the only one streaming this event, low-budget and it shows. At least the ISU Grand Prix series will be using the main ISU livestream.

Are people paying for a stream that doesn't work well?

To be fair to icenetwork, I bought my subscription during their $25 sale during Nationals so I'd be able to watch the short programs, and I used it for Euros and 4CC and Worlds and everything after that and it was rarely down. Every now and then there'd be a blip but nothing worse than I get using Netflix. I just wish they'd get an app up and going so I could watch on Apple TV or Roku or on mobile....

Does anyone remember if Satoko was in this warm up group? Because we're either missing her or an ice resurfacing....

I bet there's an ice resurfacing since two groups have gone already.

Satoko is scheduled to go on at 1:48 p.m. local time (so 3:48 for Eastern Time)

As I mentioned above, IN is just re-broadcasting the free ISU livestream for those large ISU events you mentioned. Any technical issues with the ISU stream would not be IN's fault, as it most likely is here.

The tech support guy didn't even know there was a problem. Poor guy's just some minimum wage lackey going through a script. I knew the support was bad, but damn. He's passing the info along to the relevant department and will email me an update later.

That's not unusual for US skaters, right? Kimberly "Kimmie" Meissner, Beatrisa "Bebe" Liang, Alexandra "Sasha" Cohen, Christopher "Chris" Knierim. Norwegian (formerly KOR, formerly US) ice dancer Timothy Koleto just made his official ISU name "Tim Koleto" (according to Twitter)

Of course, some keep their official name for ISU purposes, but are informally known as Daniel "Danny" O'Shea, Richard "Ricky" Dornbush, Nathan "Nate" Bartholomay, Zachery "Zach" Donohue and so forth

Correct. Not unusual. IMO, most Americans would assume that Grace was Gracie's given name at birth.

And some of our Canadian friends are Charlie Bilodeau, Maddie Edwards, Gabby Daleman, etc. A less obvious one (IMO), which I really like, is Patch for Patrice Lauzon.

Well low budget...
All other countries are able to live stream even on small competitions, show slow motion replay etc. USFSA should be ashamed of their organization. I hope ISU will notice.

The ISU livestream is only free if you live somewhere a network hasn't bought the rights to, and I don't like to use VPN to access it since it's not secure. But I believe IN was responsible for the nationals feed, which was fine.

Anyway, hopefully it's just down for the ice resurfacing... fingers crossed!

I'm sure it's just a ploy to sell those $170.00 digital downloads  Either that or another poorly timed round of monitor degassing

VPN is very secure if you do it properly. Yes, free Hola is a major security risk and I wouldn't use it.

Worth remembering Hola is not the only VPN out there... just possibly the best known free one. VPN stands for virtual private network, it is not something unique or special to Hola.
