Just for some not for all I would say. Can't see Nadeau scoring over 80 here! But if his SB was to jump like some of the others he would be around 85 points!
I did not mean that everyone is going to necessarily get their season's best here. Just that the scoring for similar skates (as done already before) seems to be higher. Meaning, generally higher PCS and, probably, GOE (have not looked that deeply into it yet).

The level of this competition is amazing :luv17:

This was one of the best quality competitions I've seen in a while! Thank you guys :)
Yes, it is/was   . I just truly hope that it's not going to turn into a splatfest in the FS :slink:.

I've watched only 4- three leaders and Cha Jun Hwan (because he's been with BOrser) and I have to say that I enjoyed Samarin's SP much better than Aliev's. And Deniss is just a natural born artist. Same as Kolyada (who did not compete here)- these guys caught my attention this season and I can't wait for both of them to make senior competitions even more exciting. When does Samarin start to compete at senior level?

Seeing the top scores at the moment (Tomoki Hiwatashi and Jun Hwan Cha), I don't have that much hope for Vasiljevs anymore. He has not scored over 70 in the SP in Junior competitions even once, as he has not skated it without mistakes. He would really have to skate it perfectly this time to have a chance at a high placing in this part of the competition.

Wrong! Almost 79 with a 3-2 combination and he won the PCS. With the 3 extra points of a 3t he probably would be in first with a 81-82 score. So I think he's doing pretty good :)

The men overall were really impressive today!

A thing I find weird:

If you take the top 9 and split them, you get this: Aliev/Samarin/Vasiljevs/Zhou (+ tarot generator), Aymoz/Hiwatashi (no tarot generator), and Cha/Nadeau/Samohin (- tarot generator).

I don't believe it, but I thought that was interesting...

Samarin competes at Senior Nationals from season 2012/2013, when he was 14 years old.
He was 2nd at Final of Russian Cup (Senior) a month ago.

But internationally he competes as Junior (except two Senior B's this season and two past season).

I couldn't watch it due to me being in class, but I kept checking the live results! And I saw a few videos. I seriously cannot wait for Friday.

That was a great competition I watched live! I agree with many poster here. For me Samarin was the best he has huge jumps, elegant style. And the french guy Aymoz was a big surprise for me, I didn't know him, but he is very good. Very good! His SP is beautiful!

Just saw the video of Alexander Samarin's SP and WOW! So much fun to watch and it pulls you in!

Again, which bring up my case on that why men's is more exciting to watch for me than ladies: the music choices!

I can't wait to see him at senior GP events, question is- when?
