about coaches : yes and no... sometimes the young teenagers won't listen... and go quad crazy ;)

For mental health issues. Teenagers may not be the best people to evaluate their own psychology. Frank should have stepped in and gotten Gracie the help & support she needed. If not him then anyone at USFSA. But Gracie's an adult now so she may have resisted. I am not sure. But if a teenager is struggling their coaches, parents, or fed officials definitely ought to speak up.

Patrick's mind is blown that SCI is next week: https://www.instagram.com/p/BacSINHHgRC/

A piece on Alaine: https://bevsmithwrites.wordpress.com/2017/10/19/alaine-chartrand-a-new-outlook/

She spends enough time in the air on a jump to be able to do a quad, according to Christy Krall.

OMG... that quad sal is so gorgeous... flawless technique...

Saying something stupid is a requirement to be on this board.

There was a post in the Australian thread about their new Olympic uniforms. I wanted to post about the worst, absolutely worst, Canadian ones, but I could not find a picture anywhere. In fact, I started to question my memory (and sanity).

Does anyone remember bright yellow Olympic uniforms that kind of looked like a firefighter's coat? I thought they were for winter, but they may have been summer. Anyone know what year they were from? They were plug ugly, as well as being yellow, which is such an un-Canadian colour.

I think you got part of the story right and part of it wrong.
I distinctly remember one olympics where the designers when deciding on the Canadian uniforms looked up and saw firefighters walk by and were inspired by their uniform. But it was NOT yellow.

It was the 1992 Albertville Games.

If you look you'll see a stripe around the wrist which is very reminiscent of the fluorescent stripes you would see.

This is MY memory of that and it may or may not be correct. :)
(I really need to get off gs tonight and get some sleep.) ;)

Thank you both.

I had seen some compilations of past uniforms, and none of them had the (imaginary) yellow ones, so I thought I must be wrong about them. Thanks to blueberryhill for explaining the cause of my confusion.

I thought maybe the 2006 uniforms were the ones I was thinking of. Both 1992 and 2006 were white and baggy with little or no red. But I can see the firefighter influence in the 1992 ones.
