Overall performance quality is basically at a 2/10
He seemed totally in his head, but managed most technical stuff I guess?

Oh, our Finnish doc is skating. Even though he'll probably not get to the Olympics and win any big events, I still admire him so much. He's also a medical doctor and it must be very hard to have time for figure skating and he even has the guts to try a quad at the age of 30! (But please, don't hurt yourself...) It really shows one doesn't have to win big medals to be a great figure skater.

At this point I like La Strada better for junior skaters. Or maybe I can't handle two in a row. Valter's beach bum exhibition skate in Helsinki had a lot of personality. I'd rather he channel something like that.

Oh man... I just really missed Boyang's La Strada. *le sigh*

And then I remembered what music he's skating to this season in the free, and my heart did the happy dance. :yahoo:

So we won't know who's the first Nebelhorn Olympic qualifier until after Group 4 finishes up, since 6 men will make it and USA (in Group 5) is the only one to already have a spot via Worlds.

And I thought his step sequence was charming and he had some really terrific spins.

Just goes to show you...De gustibus non est disputandum.

True enough!

Step sequence came alive but could have been a lot more in my opinion! He seemed in his head to me.
