Doing this at the last minute, because everything got on top of me this week. So, not much in way of explanations.

Ladies – well I had to do for Liza, didn’t I?! In fact, I went for an Udmurtia 1-2, with the 3 Japanese girls completing my Top 5.

Although, it did pain me to put Lena out of my Top 6. But, at least she’s my alternate.

Men – knew all along who was going in my Top 5 and in what order. That said, any of the guys (apart from maybe the Chinese guy I put at the bottom) could creep into the Top 5.

Pairs – had to be a Chinese 1-2 followed by KMT/MM and Vale / Ondrej. Would have liked to put della Monica / Guarise into my Top 5, but had to go for my daughter and her partner.

So good to see Zhang Mingyang back. But, since she is in a new partnership which I've never seen before, I regrettably had to put them at the bottom.

Dance – Top 4 was sewn up. Dithered between Abachkina / Thauron and McNamara / Quinn for the final Top 5 place, but in the end opted for the Americans.

Felt bad for putting all the Chinese at the bottom. But, I feel Pogrebinsky / Benoit might have the edge over Wang / Liu.

She's still recovering from an injury and didn't do well at Finlandia Trophy, so she might not be in top form yet.

After SP my singles prediction are just lamentable. Thank god we have dance where my tentative score is just 5 points below the sum of men and ladies. People complain about Medvedeva that she always wins but in dance you are quite safe placing bets based on rankings which drift quite slowly. Even when you miss the right place it is still 10 points - in very rare circumstances 5.

same here, but I'll wait after FS, lots could happen there, in both fields, but yeah, I smelled the disaster about that one for my predictions from the sole view of starting lists

Congratulations to all the medalists! :cheer: :dbana:

I’m sure it’s not a very big surprise that no one predicted the podium in the correct order – or even had the correct three men on the podium in any order – for this competition, especially with its unexpected results of Javier Fernandez not being on the podium, Mikhail Kolyada getting the gold, and Max Aaron earning the bronze.

Most people predicted that Javier Fernandez would win the gold, and those who didn’t had him winning silver. Quite a few people did predict Boyang Jin correctly with silver. No one had Mikhail Kolyada winning the gold; the most common guess for him was third, and several people also had him in fourth or fifth place in their guesses. Max Aaron wasn’t in a lot of predictions for the top five, but there were a few people who had him correctly slotted into third place. Quite a few people had Vincent Zhou correctly predicted in fourth place and Han Yan in fifth place.

Very few people ventured outside of guesses for Fernandez, Jin, Kolyada, Zhou, Yan, and Aaron. There weren’t many picks for Tanaka, Reynolds, or Petrov.

Good luck to everyone with your NHK picks!

I’ve added the scores to the spreadsheet. If you have any corrections, feel free to PM me.

WHAT? Well I'll take and enjoy my goal medal. Thanks to Boyang, Vincent and Hanee for doing exactly what I predicted and for Kolyada for doing enough for me to TAKE THE GOLD!!!

Please guys, follow the rules, which can be found at https://www.goldenskate.com/forum/showthread.php?66075-2017-Senior-GP-Predictions-Game-(Rules)&p=1804098#post1804098 It is horrible to us to declare invalid your predictions, specially if they are medal-worthy.

If you find any mistake, just PM me.

I won 2 bronze medals, it's very good. But I think there are very many winners, scoring system must be changed for next season.

This is true only about dance. And I would like to keep the system as it is. The reason is to have some positive vibes about yourself after complete bombing the singles prediction.
