well who else is there ?
Aliev is injured, Kolyada is back to being more inconsistent, Kovtun is even worst, Voronov has been forever.

Dima's injury is very minor and I don't see why being "forever" is a negative if he is the only one to deliver semi-consistently.

ooh look it's patrick chan!

*sigh* look on the 1st page of this thread, the link is there.

no need to sigh... i had found it below the entries list...

usually the link is right at the top so never mind asking.

and finally, regarding my avatar... yup... Patrick Chan.... isn't that swell? If you look at other users avatars, you will see many yuzurus, dimas, javiers, and so on... what a fun place isn't it?

If Aliev recovers, he's by far the best male skater in Russia followed by Kolyada, at least for me.

Samarin i saw good fights on the jumps from him, his Quad Lutz attempts are huge but he goes off axis all the time: he'll definitely get rewarded in Russia where the TES is the only thing that matters.

Sorry, mate.

Not a Chan fan - but I'll be seeing him next week at Oberstdorf.

yes we know... i remember your negative comments regarding patrick... well.. you know, it's against the rules of this forum to relentlessly bash a skater... so i suggest that if you have nothing positive to say, you keep your mouth shut

thank you.

Aliev is definitely the future... consistent quads, and nice artistry. Too bad about the injury, but hopefully he can remain healthy. Right now the Russian men are a hot mess. Voronov is the best of them and he's barely ahead of Medvedeva.

Too bad about Mika, but after test skates, we could totally see it coming. He needs some confidence real quick - even his axel has left the building. Good on him for still going for the quad lutz (looked UR to me), but 3 errors on 3 jumping passes = terrible start.

He's fortunate to have gotten PCS just shy of 40. Can't wait to see how many 9.00's he gets in his protocol. :rolleye:

Yes, it's a shame. I've always been impressed with Kolyada. Hope he ups his game.

No it isn't.

BTW, with this La La Land overtakes Moulin Rouge as the warhorse of the season. 14 to 13 programs so far.
