I was afraid this would happen with all the hype. No final flight for Nathan.

I think it's still possible. There probably will be mistakes among the other top men- unlikely they will all be excellent in the same competition :p

I believe we will be watching this young American collect medals in many years to come! Well done Nathan!

Nathan Chen

Ack, that darn 3A! Just landed very flatfooted. Strangely, Chen seemed a bit more tired in his expression than in past performances, but it seems he was very focused on the spins. He may still get 100 points even with the fall.

I'm proud of him for selling the heck out of that amazing StSq after the fall.

He'll still be in the medal hunt in the LP, though wouldn't surprise me if he's out of contention for gold.

Nathan looked kind on edge the whole program....it's tough being the one chased.

Yeah I actually was impressed with the landings on some of the other jumps- he really got down into the ice to hold the edges it looked like....

Aside from the fall, the landings didn't look that good to me. :(

What the heck? The score is too high! :palmf:

Well, I'm pretty sure the people bashing him all over this forum don't feel too bad for his 3A fall. I kinda expected this to happen given his reported boot issues. Hope he is okay.

Shaame about the fall. He still interpret the music very well. He just need to work more on emote/communicate with facial expressions...

Too bad about the fall... otherwise a strong program. It's good that he's in 2nd though.. I was sure the judges might hold him up over Jin.
