2. Fernandez (I really want him to win a medal and don't care what color it is! A 2x world medalist deserves to make podium ...)
3. Jin He seems to be able to jump under pressure and historically has made end of season podiums..

5 Chen On paper and media hype, Chen seems to be the one to beat; will his failure to launch in the TE make him, or break him? I think it will be somewhere in between.
6. Chan (Maybe I am crazy, and sentimental, but I still believe in beautiful ice skating over ice jumping and splatting in between crossover's! I would love him to podium but if that is not to be maybe the Team gold, will help him relax, forget about results and just skate beautifully and present his best current and mature self to the world. If he has to replace the 3A's with double's in order to go clean and finish on a high note at Olympics, then I hope he can perform well for his sake and for all his many fans...)
7. Kolyada He is another very inconsistent skater who has huge potential to podium, but only if his brain cooperates, another nervous nellie...

Ladies:

1. Zagitova
2 Medvedeva If it has to be the Russian babies then I will hope it's Med who gets gold and not the hugely over- scored Zag, but it seems Zag is the favored one now...
3. Osmond (Hope springs eternal but if she does go clean with her it factor and high powerful jumps, I really hope she moves up, up...)
4. Daleman ( she is exciting to watch, won bronze last yr, finally in form but with another lung issue here, but she has been on fire lately and is determined...)
5 Sotskova If Osmond and Daleman falter I expect a Russian sweep.
6. Kostner A clean Kostner podiums but she can't seem to get it done in FS...
7. Nagasu Take your pick of consistent Tennell or Sakamoto or the artistry of Miyahara, but Nagasu if she hits 3A again, without all the UR issues trumps the other gals.

1. Wenjing SUI / Cong HAN Consistent with lots of political support-likely 2nd and 2nd = 1st over all

2. Meagan DUHAMEL / Eric RADFORD Yes I get that everyone still expects them to ride off into sunset content with team medal and counts on them to be 4th or 5th due to SB scores, but winning team gold will either inspire them to go all in, or team effort will have left them with nothing in the tank. I think they will be confident, optimistic and prepared to do what everyone else sees as impossible, relax and go for it! I believe in this little engine to get it done AGAIN and thus have another glory moment skate esp., if they go clean with more difficult elements and other's don't so the other's huge PCS is moot because D/R will just out point everybody else...

3. Evgenia TARASOVA / Vladimir MOROZOV LIKELY 1ST IN SP BUT as low as 3 or 4 due to god awful Candy fS that can't even be saved by clean elements and strong politics.

4. Aljona SAVCHENKO / Bruno MASSOT She wants it so much she may overcook + foot issues & a cold could derail them - honestly I would prefer them to Sui/Han in 1st but ONLY if they go clean esp., if they opt to be safe with easier elements a la GPF, otherwise 4th ...

5. Xiaoyu YU / Hao ZHANG Only if they show up like SA and not how the appeared in TEAM event

6. Julianne Sequin/Charlie Bilodeau (or Italians M/H who are on fire right now, but if both are clean it has to be the more refined S/B). One would think J/C had it locked, until Euro's and now lackluster TEAM sp hence dropped them farther down the list. Yanks have a good shot too if they get FS issues worked out in time.. Probably the pairs event is the most COMPETITIVE and thus most difficult to predict. Possibly only aliens kidnapping Med and Zag, V/M and P/C, would change top 2 podium

Tessa VIRTUE / Scott MOIR ( Really folks are we all so jaded by SB scores and Euro bloc judging that no one is brave enough to see that V/M are now on fire, have yet again elevated choreo to new heights of excellence and were the ONLY team that came close to SB score in team event with the insanely demanding OLY tech panel) SB scores for everyone else in team event dropped 2-3 points and crashed completely with mistakes.


2. Gabriella PAPADAKIS / Guillaume CIZERON ( Yeah, yeah great lyrical dancer's with a pretty FD but same old same old makes me bored by them, however, even with huge euro support, lots of season momentum going for them and people jumping on their winning bandwagon, but the caution is its their 1st OLY + not skating in team may seal fate determined by nerves and possibly the shift towards V/M based on TEAM momentum...)
3. Madison HUBBELL / Zachary DONOHUE if clean - a Gadbois sweep? But only if the Russians - B/S don't get politicked into 3rd, as they have always somehow made it to OlY podium. Honestly I see all the American teams tied with each other, no clear #1 thus point breaker is overall score which predicts H/D leads by a hair, since not even Shibs sizzle twizzles can surmount all the other issues based on Team event nerves, etc..

4. Kaitlyn WEAVER / Andrew POJE I will hope and pray if they skate their best then they will make the podium despite politics of Russian and USA feds and Canada throwing them under the bus...
